Fits absolutely perfectly; it's good thick genuine cowhide leather (entirely), the fit is good and hold it snugly, and the stitching and stamping is very nicely done.

I just got this. The build quality seems ok. The leather was dry and stiff. I had to treat it to make it more supple. I took a star off for that. Time will tell about durability.

This awesome CRKT scabbard fits American Tomahawk Company's spike tomahawk, too. It's good leather, with a belt loop, and it holds my hawk securely. I don't think I can shake it loose or end up with sharp edges exposed under normal usage. I had received the tomahawk itself as a gift, and it's nice. I'd recommend athletic tape instead of the alien pros synthetic stuff I used on my handle, btw. I used the alien for both tennis racquets, but didn't do a great job. If you use the alien pros, run both strips together in parallel, not one after another like I did. I got a lump in the middle because I did it the wrong way.

This hides the sharpen edge nicely secured.

This tomahawk / Axe is awesome and very lightweight & perfect for backpacking with & having a reliable dependable tool with you for firewood. And is very sharp & cuts & chops great & nicely balanced and swings like nothing I ever have worked with before & with very little effort getting the job done. And it's awesome to play around with & having a throwing tomahawk on you! I definitely would recommend this for anyone looking to have lightweight on them when backpacking or being able to be comfortable & very easy on them to chop wood for firewood. Great Tomahawk. The only thing I wish definitely & don't like is that it doesn't already come with a leather sheath for the head of the tomahawk & sold separately & quite expensive for having a extra accessory for this when it is already expensive as well. But definitely worth purchasing and having.

Good quality, well-made and just what I needed

I like the cover, it's designed specifically for the tool and fit perfectly. Overpriced in my opinion but it is a customer leather cover for the tool that does what it should. In my opinion CRKT should absolutely be shipping this with the the T-Hawk, not be an extra $20. it's certainly not so nice as to be a luxury add-on, it is a basic cover to protect you and the blade and should be part of the package. If it was a nice heavy leather system for attaching to my gear, might be different but it's what I would consider essential to cover the blade and not cut yourself or other gear. This is essentially just a blade cover and nothing more. most other companies that I have bought from for axes etc, ship a basic blade cover like this by default and so should CRKT.

CRKT only sells quality items and this Axe not only holds a razors edge it’s quite nice to look at as well and it’s a pleasure to use. The axe mask/sheath really brings the two items together visually and it makes the axe very comfortable to carry on the hip. Highly recommend.

perfect fit, well made, can't complain

Saw this on a flash sale and just had to get it. I've had the axe for 6-7 years without a sheath when this one popped up. I keep it beside my bed as I found the metal is not hard enough to survive being used in the field. Seems to me the sheath is built in a similar fashion. Looks good and the craftsmanship is fine, but I doubt it would take the wear and tear of hard practical use. Worth the price I paid however, no regrets here.
