I recently used Purple Metal Polish on heavily tarnished brass railings for a commercial janitorial client and was genuinely impressed with the results. The railings had significant tarnish buildup, so I was uncertain how they would respond. After pouring over reviews, I decided to experiment with Purple Metal Polish paired with an orbital buffer. The product made quick work of the tarnished brass surfaces, revealing a bright finish beyond my expectations. The lotion-like texture makes it easy to apply and control — yet highly effective, with no smell or harsh reaction. An important point, as the previous janitorial company permanently bleached the client’s carpet below these exact railings in an attempt to maintain them in years past. I am thrilled with the outcome. I will absolutely be reaching for this product again on future metal maintenance and restoration work.

The product worked pretty well. It definitely added a layer of SHANE to the metal, but it was hard to reach Amir finish even on Chrome.

I came across this during an internet search and decided to give it a try on my aluminum propeller spinners. Let me just say, this stuff is straight-up amazing. My airplane lives outside, and as you can see from the pics, the spinners get weathered, oxidized, and generally very nasty. Polishing shops charge me ~$125 each to polish the spinners, and I’m tired of paying that since the new shine only lasts about 6 months. I decided to take matters into my own hands. In the past I’ve tried Simichrome and Mothers. Both resulted in hours of polishing by hand, with awful results. With this 2-part product, I wiped on the deoxidizer, let it dry for a minute, and immediately applied the purple polish. I spent roughly 30 minutes on each spinner and they came out flawless. I used 1/3 of the bottle of deoxidizer and a little more than 1/2 of the bottle of purple polish to do the whole job. Some key suggestions: 1) the green liquid deoxidizer companion product (also available on Amazon) is absolutely required. The polish is not nearly as effective without it. 2) the purple polish is dependent on its suspended abrasives, which break down as you lightly polish; so don’t be shy with the polish. Slathering a large amount on and rubbing with very light effort, until the friction goes away, is sufficient. If there’s no friction, you’re done...it doesn’t matter how hard you rub, you’re no longer polishing at that point. Better to use lots of purple. It also helped to work in smaller (8-12” x 4” or so) sections. 3) the mess of polish that you apply will generate a ton of black, goopy nastiness. This is a good thing; it’s oxidation you’re removing. But wear your grubby clothes, and some disposable nitrile or latex gloves. 4) Make sure you have a good supply of clean, soft detailing towels on hand in addition to the application rags and first-pass oxidation/polish removal towels. A final quick buff with a clean towel is what really brings out the shine. I’m a convert. $30 and 60 minutes saved me $220 - and I can touch up the shine whenever I want.

Really good decent polish from used it on our show Peterbilt to my Harley. It gives you a lot of shine for the last bit of Rubbing!!

I’ve tried various things with no success in getting this weird water spot like sheen off of my bike’s chrome and aluminum. I’m not even kidding, 5 minutes of use with this stuff took it right off. It has made the polished parts of my Harley look better than they ever have. I’m definitely going to be using this stuff on all the chrome and aluminum surfaces on my bike to make it shine. I’m very impressed with this! It makes me so happy to know that I can keep my bike looking this clean and new. The first image is before and the second is after.

This was the only product I have tried on my motorcycle that has delivered the results I wanted. Very easy to apply and make work! Last pic is how they started!
