GIVI E251 Monokey Plate for use with flat or tubular style luggage racks only

After looking at the prices for bike model-specific monokey mounts, I opted to save almost $100 and use this universal kit. Some comments... First, don’t let the fact that this is a plastic base concern you. It’s very solid and mounts nice and tight to the rack below. Second, install is very easy. I took the factory rack off, taped the mount to it to position it where I wanted it, flipped it upside down and installed it. Third, I was concerned that if I could bolt it on, someone could just unbolt it and take my case. However, the position of the bolts can be placed (at least on my bike) where no one can get to it. Last, the nuts that are used to tighten the mounting bolts are self-locking, but I always opt for a second but to be on the safe side.

I was not 100% sure which adapter plate to get for my 2022 Kawasaki KLR Adventure. I took the chance on this plate after doing a bit of research that did not provide perfect confirmation that this was the correct adapter for me. I needed an adapter to install a 58 L GIVI Outback Top Case. This fit the bill perfectly! When installing this adapter, I just skipped using the underneath brackets that are meant to hook over tubing. There are four holes in the factory plate that lineup perfectly with this adapter. Simply install using the four provided Allen bolts through those four holes. The bolts will just clear the plastic piece underneath with a bit of room to spare. Once installed, you can attach your GIVI top case and it will not block the factory panniers or the small compartment that holds your factory tool kit.

Needed long-nose needle point plier to hold the locking nuts in lace while threading the bolts to the 2022 KLR650 carriage plate at the rear. Once that was figured out the install went very successfully. I mounted a V40 GIVI Monokey top case and it precludes my wearing a backpack to carry perceived, useful nonsense. Thank goodness I am not a chick! LOL! Didn't take photo because an idiot could figure out how to mount it on this bike as the plate holes line up! Wait! You do need a light source to see under the KLR's plate for starting the thread in the nuts.

Great product, but a bit to expensive.

Fits my givi case perfectly

Saves hundreds of dollars using this universal mount over BMW R1200RT specific mount. Took only 15 minutes to get it figured out (best place to grab flat stock vice round stock) and mount it. Very secure at 4 mounting points but I also took 1/4” black zip ties and zipped around the mount and BMW original mount in case anything came loose. I put bolts DOWN from top on tail side with nuts underneath but on forward side I came UP from bottom with bolts and put nuts on top. Used a “magnet on a stick” to help. Worked great but it’s a tight fit if you have big hands. Finished product looks good on the BMW. Way cheaper and more room than a BMW topcase.

Standard mounting plate for Monokey GIVI boxes. With this you can mount your box on anything with a horizontal rack (or vertical too I guess). I have five of them mounted on various motorbikes..and two Givi Boxes which ride on whichever motorbike I'm currently riding. Motorbikes: Honda: SuperCub, Trail 125, & DAX : Ninja 500, Yamaha TW200. :-)

I bought this one expecting to get a mushy and flimsy piece of plastic however I was proven wrong! The plastic feels very high quality and sturdy and is overall an affordable product. I ended up using the M8A plate instead since it’s fully aluminum and it worked out but definitely going to keep this one in storage for when that one wears out.

Sulla mia Honda Integra modello 2016 il bauletto Honda di serie -dopo 8 anni di buche rdi Roma- si è spaccato sugli attacchi. Visti i costi dei bauletti Honda, ho preferito passare a Givi che conosco da anni per i suoi ottimi prodotti. La E251 è una piastra che si monta perfettamente sul portapacchi originale senza dover forare nulla o aggiungere kit di staffe per il fissaggio oltre a quelle già fornite. Come si può vedere dalla foto l'abbinamento è perfetto, mentre il tempo di montaggio è di circa 30 minuti, una volta trovato il posizionamento corretto delle viti di fissaggio. Una molta montata, la piastra è "solid rock" con il portapacchi originale. Eccellente prodotto, lo consiglio senza alcuna riserva.

Lo compré para instalarlo en una Peugeot Satelis. El soporte original del baúl de la moto es un poco complejo, ya que lleva un mecanismo para desenclavarlo y abatir hacia detrás, para poder abrir el maletero del asiento. Para que pueda abatir hacia atrás la parrilla con el adaptador y baúl, he tenido que limar este soporte de GIVI en unas esquinas. Una vez realizado el ajuste ha quedado perfecto. Recomiendo comprar este adaptador porque se ve que es de buena calidad y creo que es bastante adaptable.

Fit my monokey hard case as described. I only had to remove the rubber stoppers so the case fit right. Enough holes and options to mount to aftermarket rack that’s on the bike. The quality of the plastic looks good and durable.
