Hard rubber. The sole minimizes noise on hardwood and tiles.

Do these run true to size or should I order 1 size up?

It depends on how you want them to fit. They are cloth so they will stretch. I don’t like a loose fit so I ordered an 8 when I typically wear 8 1/2. They fit perfectly! So comfortable I spit them on immediately, wore them all day, and didn’t want to take them off!

I plan to order as a gift - do the slippers come in a nice shoe box as shown on the associated video? Thanks.

My very 1st pair did, but the last 2 times I’ve ordered them- they come in plastic bag. Best slippers I’ve ever worn, like them much much better than isotoners.
