I wish I had bought this years ago
My bedroom is cold in winter as its north facing and has a bay window.I have always had good quality duck & down duvets and also use a heated under blanket and bed socks but still wake up cold in the early hours in the depths of winter. With my latest duvet getting thin I knew it was time to change and new of Woolroom as I had recently bought their pillows (also great) so decided to give their duvet a try althigh I was hesitant given that it is a lot cheaper that the duck & down versions I normally buy.I knew from other reviews that the duvet would look thin but was still surprised how this it seemed compared to my traditional duvets. There is a slight smell to it, which I actually liked, proving that it is made of natural wool.Once I climbed into bed it immediately felt warmer than previous duvets and has a comforting weight to it, reminiscent of an old style heavy blanket but in the best way possible which is a surprise as it isn't actually heavy at all!I now stay comfortably all night and no longer need the bed socks although I do still take the chill off the bed by running the heated blanket on low before getting in.A great product which I wish I had found years ago.

Wish I bought this sooner
I absolutely love this duvet, I run cold and usually need an electric blanket in the winter but I haven’t needed to it since I replaced my duvet. It’s so warm but not too warm. Plus it’s heavier so it feels great when sleeping. I move in my sleep a lot and my duvet always looks like it’s gone through it the next morning but not with this one, so easy to keep my bed looking neat. Plus with multiple allergies I’m comforted by the fact it’s hypoallergenic. Fits great. So soft to the touch and not thick, but weighted. I love it so much and will not go back to down or anything else

Strong smell when new
I already have a lightweight wool duvet which we used all summer and we love it, but decided to buy the winter weight as my husband was feeling the cold at night. When it arrived it had a very strong smell of sheep, but fortunately it was a nice day and I was able to hang it on the washing line and leave it there for several hours. That was the only negative thing I could say about the duvet. It’s a lot lighter than the feather duvets we have always used and so much easier to get into the cover. It’s seems to be warm enough although we haven’t had artic conditions yet, and we manage to sleep very well under it. It’s well made and the wool doesn’t clump together like the feathers used to so doesn’t need vigorous shaking when making the bed. So far very pleased with it. The smell of sheep faded and was gone within a week, for us , it was a good decision and we have grown to love it.

Awesome and cosy
We were looking at Which? reviews, and wool, which we had never considered before, was recommended. We have been using these since before Christmas during some milder winter weather and also some freezing temperatures. As advised, they seem to adapt and keep the ideal warmth throughout. They seem thinner and slightly stiffer than feather or fibre duvets, but they mould lightly round your body and do a superb job. It is claimed that wool is anti-allergenic against dust mites. Its a natural and under-utilised product. There is an initial very slight lanolin aroma, comforting rather than troublesome. I am also recommending the wool-filled pillows. I won't be using any other filling in future.

I like it but it is expensive
arrive quickly. I like the fact that the duvet is very light (even though this is the largest tog), all the filling doesn't fall to the bottom of the bed (which is a revelation!) and its super easy to handle getting the duvet cover on /off, making it extremely manageable when you have thumb arthritis! also keen on the no need to wash properties which saves me a lot of work throughout the year. I personally can't say I have found it warmer than other duvet fillings and I haven't tried out its cooling properties yet (cos it's not summer yet) but I do have another brand wool duvet and this is fab at keeping me cool in the summer

The cosy factor is off the charts.
Bought this quilt for myself just before Christmas ‘ 23 , I can honestly say it’s one of my BEST purchase EVER. I let it aired for 24 as some had written about a “ sheep scent “, I honestly couldn’t smell such. The first night of using it , it reminded me of the by gone days of heavy blankets , eiderdown and bead spreads .The weight is just perfect for a goodnight sleep, it has a way of cocooning you as it drapes leaving the other person to experience the same , no pockets gaps no tugging during the night as it doesn’t slip off you. If you put your arm from under it ,and it lays on top the touch is cool , I love it.I’m amazed as to why I didn’t know of a Wool quilt before, my sleep could’ve been much better over the years. As they say “ it’s better late than never “. And the Wool Room send it beautifully package in a useful cotton zip bag . Thank you Wool Room for your great product.

Excellent
Never had a wool duvet before. Wish I had discovered them years ago. Love the weighted blanket feel and the heat regulation. My wife no longer throws off her duvet overheating. I don’t get cold or wake up sweaty. I think I probably sleep better. We aired ours for 12 hrs before use. My sense of smell never came back after last Covid. My wife said it was sheepy out of the bag and had lost its smell after 24hrs. Like made in UK from traceable wool. Will buy the summer weight next spring.

Snug as a bug
Excellent comfort. Light but warm. One of the best quilts I've ever had. I love it. It's warm when cold and cooler if warmer. I wish I had discovered The Woolroom products years ago. Buy one you won't be disappointed. Good value for the money. I don't find it heavy. Certainly not like a weighted blanket. If anything it's light weight. One of the lightest ones I've tried and I have the warmest.
