My bike has 12mm x 142mm thru axle wheels and i want to use a standard qr skewer on my turbo trainer. Will this suit?

So long as you pick the 142mm option. BUT: most important thing is you need a wider QR skewer, sometimes called a turbo skewer. If you're taking a skewer from a rim brake wheel it won't be wide enough for a 142 axle.

Hi, I've received this but before I insert it into the wheel hub, how easy is it to remove should I want to revert to using the through axle?
