Nice and soft with a removable cover. Well-loved by my kid. The size is good for a twin sized bed. It's pretty heavy but not overwhelming. Price was nice compared to similar blankets.

*** Update: My second daughter loved her sister's weighted blanket so much we bought another one. The kids sleep soundly with these. Very soft and comfortable. Washing isn't difficult, but takes some thought and effort to do it correctly to get everything back in place. My second daughter does not have sleep issues but loves this for the warmth. We gave this to our 6 year old daughter who has anxiety issues and wakes up at least 1-2 times a night. When she opened this on her birthday she loved the bright pink color and the soft minky feel. Once she covered up with the blanket she immediately relaxed (even after a long night of presents and cake) and nearly fell asleep in her chair. She slept through the night that night and the following couple nights. Now about a week later, she still sleeps better with this weighted blanket than without it but she will wake up if it slides off in the night from turning. The minky is really soft and the 5 pound weight seems just right for her (about 40 pounds). It is heavy for her to carry down the hall but adults will have no problem moving it. I haven't washed it yet and am a bit nervous about that since the instructions are very explicit but overall we are really happy with her "heavy blanket." This product was recommended to us from a friend who is an occupational therapist. So glad we splurged on this blanket!

My son loves this blanket. Keeps him warm. Great for winter, a bit rough for summer time but over all he sleeps better and has that comfort to help feel secure

This is by far the best weighted blanket I have purchased. A must for any special needs kid .The cover washes brilliantly, stays soft and doesn’t shrink. Would of given five stars if interior was either waterproof or easier to wash

This blanket REALLY helped my 11yo with nighttime anxiety. For a long time, she was repeatedly coming to our room saying she couldn't sleep and was worrying about this or that. I had heard about weighted blankets and while I didn't totally understand how they could work, I was willing to give one a try. She hadn't been to sleep on time on a school night for months straight and I'm so glad we bit the bullet to get this. As soon as she started using it, she fell asleep easily and got a full night's rest. Worth every penny.

My son 6 loves this blanket. It’s soft and nice weight to it. I had to wash inner part when he had an accident and it stayed together okay.

Love the weight of this, and the colour is perfect. Also love the size, because the surface area just covers my daughter which is what the OT recommended.

My son really likes to have this tossed on him right before bed, im sure the added weight is of comfort to him to sleep.
