I swear by this stuff ...
I've been purchasing Wood Lock oil for years before I found it on Amazon. I used to have to go into downtown to an Asian grocer to find it. I am so glad to see it on Amazon. I swear by this stuff. I've used other mentholated oils from other Asian vendors but none compare to the efficacy of Wood Lock oil. I'm an adult male with some acute trigger point issues in my back and shoulders (among other areas too numerous to mention). This stuff (Wood Lock oil) is like magic ... especially when it is worked in while I am self-attending to one of my many trigger points. Yes, it absolutely does help to initially relieve the immediate pain to an acceptable degree. But the real benefit is that fact that it's formulation really stimulates blood flow in a big way in the area where it is applied (even if you don't massage it in deeply). And an increase in blood flow at the troubled spot is what clears away the problematic substances. So for my use case, the Wood Lock oil application in conjunction with attending to a trigger point is extremely effective at helping the body tissue release the toxins (lactic acid, et al.) and the Wood Lock oil, in particular, greatly increases the blood flow [long after the self-therapy has been completed] to continually carry the toxins away from the troubled area to be eliminated from the body in the body's natural fashion. The result is significantly lasting relief ... not just a temporary remedy. I have attended to my trigger points, at times, without also applying Wood Lock oil and I'm telling you ... there is absolutely no comparison. Without the Wood Lock oil, my self-therapy is good for an hour or two at best and I'm returning to my back roller or other therapy tools multiple times that same day. If I add the Wood Lock oil to the regimen and attend to the trigger point, say, once a day for two days in a row, I can often get days if not weeks of relief. Big difference with the Wood Lock oil ... no BS. WARNING: This stuff is wonderfully potent. Do not apply it to any sensitive tissue (e.g. mouth, lips, deep inside nostrils*, etc.) and definitely keep it clear of eyes and genitalia. Wash hands thoroughly after applying ... or better yet, use disposable latex gloves if you think you might be going to the restroom anytime soon after applying. * I mentioned "deep inside nostrils" because I have intentionally applied a tiny amount just under (not inside) each nostril to successfully open clogged sinuses. If you do this, use a Q-tip to control the application and use the Wood Lock oil very sparingly. For this use case, a little goes a long way.

Inexpensive and very, very effective!
I absolutely love this stuff! I learned about this product when I went for acupuncture over 8 years ago and have used it ever since. I don't know how it works, but it provides heat that relives stiffness and prevents soreness. I place this oil anywhere I have an ache or soreness and even place several drops in a bath when I've had a hard workout or done yard work or anything really demanding. If you put the oil in a hot bath go easy at first until you find the right amount (I use 6-8 drops) because you can easily use too much. I learned that the hard way after moving and unpacking all day - had to take a shower after my bath because I was on fire! I small bottle lasts a very long time (my last bottle lasted over a year and I ended up giving to my massage therapist to use when it was about half full).

Great product
I purchased this product after being told about it by a friend. My daugther gets headaches and every topical oinment either burns or aggravates her allergies. The Wood Luck Balm seems to work marvelous. It doesn't bother her allergies for the scent to it is nice and mild and it doesn't iiritate her skin. It has worked for her so far!

Best muscle/arthritis topical pain reliever
I love this product. No, it does not smell good-it has menthol and camphor as main ingredients-but it also has an anti-inflammatory. The price is good-a little goes a long way. Also, more of a liquid then an oil. Definitely will buy again. I would make sure where the seller is-the product is made in Hong Kong-but I was able to find a seller in the U.S. with prime shipping. Otherwise, it could take a while to get it. I'd say it's better than tiger balm and you get more for the same price.

Good Workings going on
The liniment is not over powering. Very beneficial. Seems like legitimate quality. It was first used on me in a massage parlor in Ft. Lauderdale Fl. I had a torn rotator cuff and did not know of it, but this helped with the pain! The delivery may take longer than the 7-14 days because it comes from Hong Kong. If I had realized I would have ordered more.

Not the same product shown in picture
Ordered this one because I knew there are two types of wood lock oil and I was looking for the one in pic. However, I got this one with “type II” on the box, which is obviously not the same as the image posted by merchant.

Great for joint aches
This is my second bottle of wood lock oil. Some people find the smell a little strong... I like it! It's a good idea to give the area a good massage with this oil applying a little pressure to let the product penetrate the skin. At the beginning it feels that nothing is happening, but after a few minutes one can feel the wonderful relief in the painful area. It absorbs fast and the odor is gone in less than an hour leaving a very faint scent. And the vendor I bought it from is fantastic! excellent protected package, good price and fast delivery (Po Man Lao)
