BHT is a POTENT and POWERFUL supplement (which after experience, I would also 100% call it a party drug).If you use it to knock out a cold or virus and you’ve never used it before, you’ll only want to use 1/8 of a teaspoon. Use before bed only.I made a terrible mistake of taking one teaspoon and mixing it into my scrambled eggs.1) It made the eggs taste absolutely disgusting2) It literally made me wobbly, nauseous, and completely unable to do anything except lie down. I also barfed. It was my first time taking it and it released a huge amount of enzymes from my liver (DO NOT MIX WITH ALCOHOL, that includes kombucha. And DO NOT take it if you’re on any pharmaceutical pills, especially anti-seizure medication). The feeling I felt after taking BHT was like being on mushrooms. It was out of this world and I honestly could not sit or stand. I HAD to lie down.I called Steven Fowkes (author of the BHT book) and asked him if it was possible to overdose. He said yes and explained that’s exactly what I had done and I just had to ride it out.I took it to get rid of a sore throat and boy did it work! Steven also said I could have swallowed about 1/8 of a teaspoon and it would have worked to eliminate the sore throat rather than accidentally drugging myself.This stuff will work for Shingles too! This is a great pouch of BHT - powdered. BHT is fascinating. Many folks claim that it kills virus germs. I am not a scientist, nor do I play one on TV, despite living in Los Angeles. But I do love the fringe sciences! These claims make sense on a certain level. This is a preservative that works by stopping oxidation, thus preserving. I've even read about it killing cancers. There is a lot to this stuff, I only wish I knew the science better. In the meantime, dissolve with fats, stay to appropriately sized portions, and come back and tell us if this cured you of anything!

Arrived lumpy, too coarse to dissolve easily/quickly.

Caution, there are lots of reports of negative health issues if supplementing with BHT.... recommend Monolaurin instead.

This is a great value for a 4 oz bulk powder. I am still researching this product, and will update with my uses. You can find reliable information online and on youtube for arguments for or against the use and type of use for BHT as a preservative, and type of antioxidant.

Product came as expected and seems fine. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I haven’t used it long enough to see if it works for the purpose I got it.

I got this a few years back thinking I was hearing it was beneficial against Covid, but then seeing this mention food preservative and looking more into that side of things I realized it wasn't this but something with a familiar sounding name.I wasn't really sure what to use a food preservative for or how to go about using it, and it's just been sitting in our house all these years to be honest.When it comes to quality, it came to us in good condition, looks like what it seems it should look like, it was loose no clumping, so I imagine it must be in good quality if you are looking for this particular thing!
