202X Toner Cartridge for HP 202A 202 M281fdw CF500X 4 Pack High Yield

This toner works quite well with my HP Color Laser Jet Pro M281fdw. I will note that the first two packages of toner I received seemed to work well at first but then some of the colored toners would start spraying color, leaving streaks, or otherwise leaking on papers that had minimal to no color needed. I contacted the company (customer service was great), shared the problem, they asked for pictures of bad prints for examples, and then sent me two replacement packages of toner. So far with these replacements, printing has been highly satisfactory and no streaks have surfaced. Overall, great toner and great price if you don't want to have to always purchase the highly expensive HP specific toner.

In contrast, I opted for the True Image 202X Toner Cartridge, purchasing a complete set for an appealing price of $56.18. Prior to replacing the cartridges, I ensured that the printer's update feature was disabled, as HP occasionally issues firmware updates that could render third-party cartridges incompatible. So far, I have been highly satisfied with the performance of these toner cartridges; the color quality is impressive when compared to the original HP prints. The total cost for the True Image cartridges is significantly lower than the $500 required for the original HP set. Having hesitated for months due to concerns about potential waste, I ultimately decided to take the risk, and after a week of use, I am pleased with my decision. It is crucial to remember to disable updates before installation to ensure everything functions smoothly. Note: In my photo, the black HP cartridge is still installed. It still has months of use left, the color cartridges have been replaced as seen by the yellow tags. Time will tell , If I have a failure or ink does not last I will reply.....

Finally a retrofit that works perfectly. Drop-in simple. Has the correct chip to bypass HP proprietary software. And prints beautifully. Copied over a thousand color pages and not one single glitch. Very happy with this quality vendor. Note: These cartridges were packed much better (double boxed) than HP to prevent any damage in shipping.

Great product! PLUS, rarely have I ever experienced customer service of this level! Not only did they resolve my problem, but I now use this experience as a teaching model for my business! I purchased replacement printer cartridges from True Image for my HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw printer. After purchasing, I was pleased with the price and happy with the printing results. But then, a routine firmware update for my printer popped up and I installed it. After doing so, I was unhappily surprised to find that my printer no longer recognized my cartridges. YIKES!!! I tried work-arounds, but I eventually ended up having to purchase new cartridges from HP for a significantly higher price… Yes, I was VERY disappointed as the other cartridges were almost new. Furthermore, because the Amazon window had closed, I simply resigned myself to this loss and moved on… Very discouraging… But then the incredible customer service kicked in!!! It wasn’t long after this experience that I received an email from True Image asking about my purchase. This was completely unexpected… I told them of my experience and frustration. Lisa was all over this! She communicated with me regarding my problem and passed my concerns on to her company. She told me that they would stand behind their product in spite of the Amazon window closing! Okay, I was impressed! But it didn’t stop there as she told me their engineers were on it! Then, Tony was suddenly on it as well! Not just one, but two people were working to help resolve this! After a few back and forth emails, they reimbursed me for my purchase… That was seriously very impressive -- especially since by that time I had just chalked it up as a loss and had moved on! But then they really blew my mind when they told me their engineers were on it, that they were fixing the problem and would send me new cartridges! They did what they said they would do and I now have these new cartridges -- and they work great! Wow! I am stunned with the attention they gave this matter!!! This all started from a follow up email regarding a product that was past the return window with Amazon… They did not have to do this and I never expected them to do so… In my mind, this was simply an irritation and lesson learned. I never expected a follow up like this and have rarely seen one like it… But, not only did they back up their email with phenomenal customer service, but they backed it up with action as they immediately addressed the hardware issue, fixed the problem, and sent me new cartridges! In the end, they not only fixed my printer issues and mitigated my costs and frustrations, but they have raised the bar for me in my own company. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT TRUE IMAGE, their service, their company, and their core company values! Way to go! Many, Many Thanks!

COMPATIBILITY: I was skeptical as I have purchased non-HP toners before only to have it get "rejected" by the printer. There were clear and simple instructions in the box that explained how to change the settings on my printer to allow non-HP toner. Worked great on the first try! QUALITY: The True Image color print on its own looked good. In a side by side comparison of a color print with HP toner and a color print with True Image toner, you could tell the HP toner was SLIGHTLY richer in color. However, when you consider the price of True Image toner vs the HP toner, I think it looks GREAT! Definitely worth the savings. I would buy this toner again in a heartbeat. ************UPDATE 1*************** The review above is for my first set of cartridges. The second set of cartridges is HORRIBLE! Every single color print has a large strip of blue and yellow. It looks horrible. When replaced the cartridges, it left ink dust in the printer. Again, this is the second set of cartridges so it is not a matter of user error but the cartridges themselves. heartbeat. ************UPDATE 2*************** This is a review on the company’s very good customer service. They read my bad review (see Update 1) and replaced the set of toners free of charge. I was told that there was an issue with the manufacture of the second set and the replacement set should be fine. Since I already bought another set of toner and need to use it up before I start using the replacement toner, I explained that it will be a while before I can provide a review on the replacement toner…but I can say that the company has been diligently following up to see if i have used it yet. I will provide an update on the product when used. I only gave a 4 star as I actually talked to them twice now and said that I have to use up my current toner before I can use the replacements and provide an updated review. Several weeks later I then received a letter saying I *never* responded to previous requests. I found the whole letter a little aggressive and an incorrect statement, but I understand that need for me to update my review.

I got an HP color laser jet (used) from a guy near me, and it was low on toner. These toner cartridges were easy to install, and were recognized by the printer with no issues at all. The print quality is great. Very happy with the purchase.

I've been reluctant to try non-HP toner in my printer but the prices have gone up more than eggs over the past 18 months, I couldn't justify the HP tax for toner, it was going to be over $600 for 4 cartridges, picked these up for less than $80. I received my order yesterday and installed the new cartridges in my M254dw this afternoon, no issues with the installation other than removing the plastic cover isn't as easy as OEM. The printer initially complained about non-HP cartridges being installed but it continued to function. I've only printed a couple of test pages so far and they printed fine, there is a very slight "clunking" sound when the paper is going through the printer which I don't remember hearing previously, not sure if that is a cartridge issue due to fitment or something wearing down in my printer, still investigating. Will report back on longevity once I put some paper through these.

To get the full 4 toner cartridges from HP would have set me back almost $600 CAD. For $80 CAD, I got nearly identical color and full compatibility with my HP laser printer. Yellow is slightly darker than the original, though that might be because it was low and wasn't able to print to full color. The difference is hard to spot without being side-by-side. Shipping was super quick. It arrived two days sooner than expected.
