Quiet, lightweight, sturdy stand!

Female hunter here. I bought this climber knowing the quality of lone wolf products. I hate heights but love hunting and wanted something safe and lightweight for trekking in the woods. This stand is amazingly light and very sturdy! Very easy to set up although I will note that when you go to expand the top and bottom there are knobs that turn to do so and they do get stuck sometimes. I have had this issue a couple times now where I have to wiggle it around and I end up getting it situated but other than that issue there are none. Grips the tree like no other and very comfortable. The bar is a nice option if you are crossbow or gun hunting for a rest but in the way for a traditional/ compound bow. Great product and will continue to buy their products! As with every good stand, the manufacturers always skimp on the harness. This is the case with this stand as well. Buy a reputable harness and I also recommend some good backpack straps for this stand as well. The ones supplied are less than desirable.

I bought this stand for packability, and it lived up to its billing. It packs down into an extremely flat and compact backpack in less than 2 minutes. It climbs OK. I would prefer a different system for locking your feet into the platform while climbing but it works fine, just have to make shorter strides than I'm used to with my summit. It seems comfortable enough- I've read many reviews that say it's terrible on comfort so that was my main concern before buying. I've yet to hunt in it this year, but I feel like the seat is plenty comfortable. I don't think you can beat a summit on comfort, so if you're looking for a stand that you will leave out and don't anticipate moving around very often, I would still point you to the summit viper. But, if you need a stand that will be moved frequently or packed up after each hunt, then I don't think you can beat this Sit and Climb from Lonewolf. One upgrade purchase I would recommend when buying any climber is backpack straps. None come with quality straps and you can find very comfortable, durable straps for around 15 bucks. Lone Wolf makes a pair, and The Claw has a decent pair as well

Do your research.

This is a quality product. I have used other self climbers this is the best one yet and I'm done looking. I bought the shooting rail to go with it, I hunt primarily crossbow. I also bought the XL straps based on feedback from other owners. I strapped it on nearly 30 trees the 1st season and never needed larger straps then the stock ones. Getting the stand base to climb has always been a problem for me. Small feet might be the problem. With that solid cross bar, running under the seat I put one foot under that and one at the front of the base the base moves up and down very easily. I put good quality foam water pipe insulation on the stand in key locations and held it on with tarp tape. With that on this stand it is very difficult to get any metallic noise while carrying it or setting it up huge factor for me. I sat in this stand all day with no problems. It is expensive, especially when buying the accessory items but this is an awesome stand for gun, crossbow, long sits, when needing high elevation, and public land. I never used it without a shooting rail and attached my pack to the shooting rail good luck!

Love it!

Awesome stand. Packs super thin. Watch the included video before assembling. I found it more clear than the written instructions. Easy to climb with. Very comfortable. I hung molle packs on the sides to keep calls and snacks in. The optional foot rests are a great addition. They allow you to put the platform a little lower and really kick your feet out. I only gun hunt but bought this based on the recommendation of 2 bow hunters that love theirs. I bought the optional sit bar pad too. I highly recommend it. I am very happy with this well made american made stand. It comes with a basic harness that is also american made. And it works great for me. Sure it's basic and I'm frugal. This is a quality stand with replaceable straps. I see it lasting my lifetime. Before buying I compared stands at deer camp. Another hunter has a viper. He cut it and modified it to make it fold flater. It still packs way larger than this. I will say the seat is more comfortable than mine. We hunt dense public woods that can have quite a hike to get to a good spot. If you hunt like me and have to carry your stand far you can't go wrong with this. If you drive almost to where you hunt the Viper is a more comfortable cheaper choice.

Not what I expected

Im going to try to be as straight forward so the next bow hunter can hear my opinion. I was not a big fan. There a few reasons that I did not like this tree stand. The cons, very small platform. They advertise you can stand your bow up in the built in bow holder. Meanwhile it is so close to your legs there is no way this will work. In 5`10" and 200lbs fyi. Also when you climb the tree your suppose to be able to put your feet under the brackets. There was very little room to do this considering most bow hunters where rubber lacrosse boots or such. Then the biggest concern I had was that the top part of the climber that you sit on. There are a few concerns here. The seating comfort is a 5/10. Then when your climbing out want to stand up you have to fold it up to have some room. The worst part about it was it was so small. So small that it barely weighed anything. So if you were to stand up and you bumped it it would just fall down if you had no weight on it.The pros. The stand is really lite and quiet. The belt system is pretty nice too. Almost to grippy of that is even possible, sometimes you have to work extra hard to get it off the tree ascending. If you like to sit down while you shoot, you can do so.Overall I was not very happy with it. I came from a ol man climber and will be going back. The I'll man is way more comfortable and way more secure in the tree. I really wanted to like this climber. But it's just not for me.
