I prefer the spiral bound pad over the gummy backed scratch pad. Holds up better and once you are done with the front side, you can turn i over and do the back.

If you prefer to not have to search for these types of notebooks, then you can buy them here for a reasonable price. They are as described, and the only real gripe I have is that the pages and cardboard covers tear off very easily, but then again, what cardboard-covered spiral bound notebooks of any sizes don't?These notebooks are the perfect size to slip in a breast pocket or a cargo pocket- perfect for professions like servers/ waiters, law enforcement officers, mechanics, you name it.

Perfect for your small or larger purses. I use each color for a particular reason: i.e. Groceries, To Do, Computer shoping, TV shows,etc. For a gift one might want to use the "little black pads", same size".

I like that I can tuck my notebook in my pocket. In my shirt, jacket, pants or purse. Great for quick note on the job or to share and address or information, just write tear and go. Sometimes old ideas and methods are handier than the the new technologies.

The spiral is such that the cover can't flip over to the back straight, causing the cover and or other pages to tear off over time.

I like having one open on my desk for quick notes as I'm working or communicating. Less messy than sheets of paper from a pad. I plan to dispose of each one as it gets full.
