IVYX Scientific 5L Incubator - Precise Temperature Control from 0°C to +55°C, 12V DC / 110V AC

My wife takes Tymlos injections that require a temperature of 69F - 77F. We live in Florida where the house gets into the mid 80s when we are out and about. All the units i found were for diabetics and did not have a thermostat range as high as 69F. This was a great find. Not only for the Tymlos, but for other expensive, long lasting medications that require "room temperature" of 77F and below. Very well made, light and keeps the temperature within 1 degree of the setting. Has a 12volt adapter and is insulated. Would fit in a suitcase. Very pleased

I ordered this because it was all that I could find to incubate my bacteriological water tests without spending too much. Thru reading reviews I realized it most likely would not be accurate. It’s not, but mine is exactly 4 deg C low. I need to test at 37 deg C so I have to operate this incubator at 41 deg C. Although off, it is consistently off so I set to 41 and roll. I do check it with a high quality digital HVAC meter regularly and it is consistent!

I have a larger vervor that worked well for four years, but the thermostat broke and it was left always trying to cool the inside, regardless of the actual temperature. The IVYX is smaller and feels cheaper, but it is easy to use and, so far, works. The inside is described as 6x6x10 but I think it's actually a hair shorter than that. Still, OK for my purposes. I'll come back and revise my score if it dies soon.

Item doesn't reach set temperature, touch buttons don't work properly, and the plastic case has razor sharp burrs all over that could cut someone. This thing is very low quality and it doesn't work as advertised. There are much better units available for only a little bit more. My advice is to spend the extra money and get something that works.

Keeps temp on point. will take time to move temperature but once there it stays. using it for sourdough fermenting

I tested it. For about a month with temperature setting set to 22 degree Centigrade. I placed accurate thermometers on each shelf. Both accurate wireless thermometers with memory and mercury thermometers. I use this incubator for making kefir. I am using small jars on both shelfs. Difference in one or two degree of Fahrenheit is sufficient for this process. Temperature spread on bottom shelf was between 71 to 72.4 degree Fahrenheit. Mostly influenced by room temperature. Temperature outside of this incubator was between 65 to 88 degree Fahrenheit. Temperature spread on top shelf was between 73 to 73.6 degree Fahrenheit. Slightly more than one degree of Fahrenheit spread during a month is very good and dependable result. And yes there is difference between top and bottom shelf. But not dramatic difference. Pretty good product.

An excellent easy to use incubator. Able to be set at different temperatures, low on noise and it is nice and compact. Great value for money.

Es bueno, lo uso para mis medios de contraste, la temperatura es fija pero para lectura y ajuste hay que medirla con un termómetro calibrado pero se mantiene la temperatura, para el uso que le doy es buen producto, es pequeñ, no estorboso y ligero.
