Exit Security Bar SB-01-0032, for 32" Door Width

I used this to secure my daughter's back door on her doublewide. Installation was easy and it works well! I like that the securing bar can be quickly lifted for emergency egress. Highly recommend to anyone needing to secure a door.

I purchased this Exit Security Inc. security bar for my 32" wide, outswinging door, though the bar I received was from one of their distributors, Mr. Lock Inc. Unfortunately, one of the bars was too long - 39" wide instead of the 34-1/2" wide bar specified on Exit Security's website, so it won't fit correctly in my 35" door jamb.I contacted Mr. Lock, though they didn't have a 34-1/2" wide bar to send me because they are just a distributor.So I contacted Exit Security, Scott replied promptly, offered to cut & ship a 34-1/2" bar to me, and wouldn't charge me for the bar or his labor (only for the freight).Great customer service!Thanks, Scott!

The first thing I will say about this is that it actually IS very easy to install. For the first time in a long time the instructions weren’t the usual “Chinglish” translation. They were expertly written in clear to understand language. Well done Exit Security. The package contained the two bars, and necessary bolts/nuts/caps needed. The product is solidly well made. It is a quality product. I installed it on the out swing door from our house into the garage. Once installed, it would take a massive amount of force to get through the door. The door could not be “kicked in” because of the out swing design and the fact that I replaced the 3/4” door hinge screws with 3” screws. It is an expensive product, that’s why I knocked off one star. However, despite the high price, I am very satisfied and do recommend it.

Use this to Beef Up security for the back door at my son's house after he was broken into.

pros:the lock is solid and strong.assembly was reasonable.you will need to be somewhat handy to do this job right and be be comfortable drilling through your door and door.Cons:the included L bolts were too short and i had to spend another $20 - $25 for longer L bolts. quite expensive for bolts which should have been about $2 each. i would have given 5 stars if not for this.also, as others pointed out, if someone is determined to get the door opened from the outside and has the right tools, they will be able to get around the lock. we added strong adhesives to make this more difficult.overall a good quality lock, a bit pricey though.
