Very happy with this Bosu
I wanted one like they have in gym and this was it. I found it difficult to air up, the pump could have been better. But the product is gym quality and good value. Itโs a little heavier and larger and not support portable but can easily move around my room. The surface isnโt slick but not super grippy either. Wear shoes when using.

BOSU is the BEST! Such a versatile thing, for Core, Balance, Abs, Booty, Heart
The first one I ordered didnโt hold air. It was flat by morning, every time we re-inflated it. Amazon was great about the return. I debated whether to order a replacement or get a refund, worried that the new design was faulty. I went with a replacement and am GLAD I did! The new one arrived 2 days after the old one was returned and weโve had it a week with no re-inflation required. PROS - The ridges make this stable to stand on. Iโve been collecting YOUTUBE videos for BOSU workouts. Originally, we bought this for balance as we are getting up there in years and have no interest in going to rehab with a broken anything. Balance does decline with age. It is GREAT for balance. You can create more challenge by flipping it upside down, for a rock-n-roll surface. pretty sure this wonโt be happening here, as the dome top is challenging enough! I was surprised as the versatility of the BOSU. It is great for: 1) Balance 2). Ab work 3). Leg work 4) Booty 5). Heart health/high intensity workout My personal favorites are PILATES with the BOSU. It is (almost) fun, or in the least, inspires me to do a great workout. Really, it combines the benefits of so many different pieces of equipment in one exercise piece. We used a bicycle tire inflator, as the thingy that came with was subpar. Also, the first time my husband tried to inflate, the mouth fell out loose and had to be retrieved with tweezers, but all is well. Just watch out for that. CONS - I have to put a blanket or towel over it when standing barefoot or putting my hands or body on it, because the ridges are hard and uncomfortable to bare skin or yoga pants. The towel solves the problem Use extreme caution when flipping upside down and trying to stand on it, as it is REALLY hard, and I am cautious about breaking bones from a fall. I used a long dowel to counter balance, but still found it too hard. I am super glad I purchased, and happy I went with the New Generation model, as it wasnโt much more than the older model and really is MUCH improved in durability and quality. Great home workout gadget.

Defective product
Used pretty much daily and have to fill with air everyday. I thought it was normal. Today I went around spraying it with water and dawn dish soap and there is a massive leak. The product I was sent is defective and I want it replaced please assist with this asap.

Overall great product!
I recently expanded my home gym, and I am very happy that I added this Bosu balance trainer to my collection! I have always enjoyed using Bosu balance trainers at the gym, and it is just as enjoyable to use at home. It is very quick and easy to setup, and it is pretty easy to store to keep it out of the way. It provides for a very good variety of challenging exercises, and I have found it very useful to help stabilize and strengthen my muscles as I continue with physical therapy for my knee. The extra grip on the ball and the patterns splitting the ball into quarters was a really great addition, and it makes it a lot easier for me to make sure that I am using the correct portion of the ball during every exercise. For anybody looking to add some variety and challenge to their workouts, I would highly recommend this Bosu balance trainer!

Great item, garbage pump.
After 3 months of PT for a reconstructed foot and ankle, Iโm happy to have my very own BOSU. Nothing matches it for building back my balance. I wish I could give it a 5 but the pump is just pathetic. I was only able to inflate to 7 inches before it became a stalemate of how much air you lose on the upstroke and how much goes in on the downstroke. I gave up after about 15 minutes and went to my air compressor. Done in seconds. But hey the pump says โmade in America.โ That might make some people happy but Iโm not sure I would advertise that piece of garbage as made in anywhere.

Bosu Makes Every Exercise Better
Hereโs a little story. My husband and I have a power tower, in which the bar lowers and raises. He lowers it to perform tricep dips, extending his feet out straight in front of him. I saw him doing this exercise. He was doing the dips pretty fast. I grabbed my new Pro NexGen Balance Trainer and placed it under the heels of his feet. (Flat side down, feet in the center of the rounded side.). He proceeded with his dips, and after just a couple more exclaimed, โOh crap!โ, and stopped doing the dips. He was surprised at how much more challenging adding the instability of the Bosu ball made the exercise. It isolated the triceps even more and engaged the core, among other muscles. Whether youโre doing Bosu specific exercises or adding it to other โregularโ routines, Bosu amps up the workout. It triggers the muscles to work in different ways, amplifying the results. I loved using the Bosu ball at the gym and am totally excited to have my own at home. Especially since a lot of us are doing more home based workouts. I love the Pro NexGen, but if you want to save a little, go with the original Bosu. Better than not having one at all. I happen to like the textured surface on the Pro. Itโs a sturdy piece of equipment. Definitely made for fitness centers. Not a watered down home version. I did not use the enclosed pump. I used a pump we have for a bike. Yes, this is my honest review. I actually love it that much. Why do ordinary exercises when you can do extraordinary exercises.

Good addition to the home gym equipment....
This is a good quality Bosu ball. I've worked out with it several times now; it has good grip for sweaty hands and feet while exercising. I've only used it for low impact and fairly basic barefoot routines, still have to try it with running shoes on but it's a balance challenge no matter your footwear so keep your eyes on the Bosu ball while you're working with it to stay safe. It's nice and heavy enough to make overhead lifts and burpee type combo moves challenging. I'm happy with it overall. It's pricey but I'm happy I chose to go with this Bosu ball rather than a cheaper model. It's well ridged and as stable as I believe a Bosu ball could be (keeping in mind it's meant to be a balance challenge so always watch your footing when you're working with it!) I didn't receive any DVDs with this purchase and didn't notice any d/l information of routines to follow from the manufacturer but there are plenty of good exercise routines on YouTube to follow. Choose a beginner routine for your first time until you feel more comfortable with the Bosu for sure. The ball was relatively easy to inflate; the pump that comes with it is cheap but does the job. Would be helpful if the ball came with an extra plug or two and a plug pull as well. Those are pretty cheap but very helpful items for the manufacturer to consider including as part of the package in the future. Again, I found YouTube videos helpful with advice on how to fill the ball when you first get it. Overall, a good purchase and I'm pleased with the quality and usability of this product.
