Collection contains the extended soundtracks not included previously. This does not contain the entire set of score pieces composed for the movie but it is pretty close. Other sources on the internet say that the entire set contains about 61 tracks, but I would guess many of them would not be included in the official soundtrack since they would not be complete songs, rather just short sounds/riffs etc. Anyway, this is almost a complete collection and well worth having. And the music is, well, it is EPIC, and the best soundtrack ever. I mean, it is Daft Punk

TRON: Legacy - The Complete Edition (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is without a doubt a great purchase. For the longest time, trying to get your hands on every (or nearly every) song from this film was a pain and a half without spending lots of money on various releases of the same album. Example, "Sea of Simulation" was an Amazon MP3 bonus track, while "Sunrise Prelude" was a Nokia Music Store bonus track. With The Complete Edition release, every track that was once exclusive is now available here. TRON: Legacy was an incredible sequel to an already incredible film, and its music by Daft Punk helped staple Legacy's existence into place. I am giving this five stars, but I do hope a CD and/or vinyl release happens. If so, that'd be perfect. The 2020 Mondo vinyl release wasn't easy to secure, and eventually scalped before anyone could get their hands on one.

I have listened to the original album at least once a week for years, now. It really tells quite a story, and takes me back to the magic of seeing Legacy on the big screen for the first time. I like how seamlessly the new additional tracks fit in in this Complete edition. Where the original felt like a complete album, this does, too, without cheapening the original. There's a decent amount of additional content, and this album really holds up, so it's worth purchasing again for the extra tracks.

In short, the additional tracks included on this album SHOULD have been included on the original soundtrack when it was released in 2010, rather than taking several of the tracks and making them "exclusives" through several different companies for purchasing or owning their products! That is just plain wrong. Just another way to chisel more money out of the music loving consumer! Only had a wait a whole damned DECADE to have them available in one place! I have deducted one star because, although I adore this music, the withholding of the "extra" tracks for an entire decade is aggravating, as well as the fact that this "complete" edition is STILL INCOMPLETE!!! I am not just a casual listener, but am a Film Score aficionado and collector, so I take the completeness of "complete" claims very seriously. There is still an, albeit, short track that plays during the later scene after TRON rams into CLU on their light flyers and each is plummeting through the air towards the Sea Of Simulation below and they struggle for TRON's remaining baton, TRON losing and sinking into the sea and CLU activating the light flyer in a nick of time. Guess we'll have to wait another decade before Disney releases the next "No Really, This Edition Is Complete" Edition with that single missing track included! Ridiculous! Anyway, the new digital files are of a slightly higher quality than the originals which could be transferred off the 2010 CD, so at least there's THAT, so I went ahead and purchased the entire album and all the tracks to make sure they would all be equal sound quality and volume. I am very glad I did, because there is a NOTICEABLE difference between the 2010 CD file quality (192kbps) and the new release MP3 quality (242kbps). This film score remains one of my favorite scores in modern times and of its type. Aggravation aside, it is still wonderful to have these tracks finally in my collection! Wish Daft Punk could work their issues out and get together again, at least "One More Time...!"
