A Year Full of Stories: 52 classic stories from all around the world

A good collection of folktales from around the world.

I bought this book for Shishur Sevay, our home for lost and abandoned girls in Kolkata, India. The stories are interesting, thought provoking and educational for the girls of all ages, including those with disabilities. It vividly makes the rest of the world more reachable. The thread of the indigenous stories from different parts of the world resonates with Hinduism in which people and animals live in relation to each other.

Wonderful to read children's stories from around the world. Also well illustrated and organized as a collection. Showed many similarities between global cultures

I have been reading this to my sons as bed time stories. I wanted give them an exposure to different cultures and understanding - this book is a great place to start for their age. My eldest loves to find out where the stories came from. He particularly loved that the legend of Gelert was in the book as he has visited Beddgelert a few times and he was able to connect the story to the place. I would highly recommend this book. I now need to order the others in the series!

Simplemente excelente compra!!! Son historias con mensaje de valor. Las ilustraciones, la calidad de papel y cada relato hará que el momento de lectura sea grandioso y muy esperado! Lo disfrutará el niñ@ (y el adulto también!) Excelente regalo!

Ok, the truth is I have been coveting this book for quite some time now. It is just so beautiful and I have a weakness for beautiful books. It took me a while to bite the bullet because I didn't necessarily NEED it for our home school curriculum this year so I just pined over it for awhile until I just finally couldn't take it anymore! I do not regret it, This book is just as gorgeous as I knew it would be and the stories are great. They are the perfect length to keep little ears interested and entertained (we read it in our morning basket time in our home school) plus the illustrations are adorable. This is the kind of book I will keep and read to my grandchildren some day.

I have been reading to my elementary aged grandkids during the lock down, and this is one of the books i have been reading. Stories are short and really neat. They are from all over the world. Recommend it (as a former preschool teacher)

I strongly recommend. It's a amazing gift for your children.
