I like the complete package of the rack + straps + velcro. Works well with my kayak. The rack feels solid and at no risk of falling off.

I got these racks a couple weeks ago and installed them on my cross bars on my Buick Encore. They were really easy to install and didn’t require any tools. The kit comes with everything you need. Two different ways to mount them; I did both for added security, but the lock system is also great. I love that they fold down and that the strap is secured to the bar in a little notch so it doesn’t slip down your kayak when you’re on the road. These racks are great for the price and the only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that I haven’t had them very long so I can’t speak to how they will hold up to use over the summer and hopefully many summers to come. As other reviewers stated, the brackets that come with the racks will not fit a crossbar that is greater than about 2 or 2.5” wide. But there is an alternate mounting option so they can virtually be used on any set of crossbars as far as I can see.

Had to cut the pre-attached tie down straps. They were a burden. Study construction.

Looks like it could work but unfortunately we received this as a Christmas gift and being a seasonal item, we had no need to use it until now and therefore hadn't opened the box. Definitely an unpleasant surprise to be packing our kayaks for vacation only to find the adjustment knob was completely broken off and now the return window has passed. Seems there should be some sort of policy on returning seasonal items. Who uses kayak racks in Wisconsin in January?! Now we are stuck with $90 worth of broken kayak racks and still have to purchase replacements.

I loved the design and ease of the product ! It came with straps and locks and was adjustable ! The down side was the mounting brackets didn’t fit my Honda ! It was a factory roof rack ! It’s looking like I may have to return the item ! Called the company and they don’t have any different brackets ! The people were very easy to deal with.

Did not work well with my crossbars. They are sturdy.

Works as expected. Jeep extra tall. Love the fold down feature. Straps are worthless, used my own cargo straps.

I Liked the fact that they were easy to install, I didn't much like the tie down straps arrangement .
