Dreaded yellow โParkโ light?!
Used this to fix my annoying X5 parking brake issue. The motor had burned out. This was a near exact fit. Close enough. With a little fiddling, I got it to fit well. Tip- once installed, clear codes, but also reset the brake by pushing the button for 10s and then pulling for 10s. Good luck!

The motor worked on E70/X5 parking brake actuator
The motor worked as advertised. The original motor had a negative lead tab break off. I rated the replacement motor at 4 stars since it came in a Made in China box and was painted all black with no part number markings. I tested the new motor with a variable power supply and it did fine. This motor has a cooling fan built into it which is an upgrade compared to OE BMW motor. I would buy this part again as I have a spare actuator needing a motor.

BMW X5 M Parking Brake Repair (Motor had broken ground tab)
Well a replacement parking brake module runs upwards of 300 for a good brand that won't break in 30 days. This motor cost me about $40. The mechanic pulled the module down, applied 12 volts to the module to reverse the cables and swapped the motor. It's been 6 months now, and the module is working great. No Parking Brake Light on my dash. I would buy this again. The time to repair was about 2.5 hours.

Almost perfect fit for 2011 bmw x5 50i
I was able to fix my 2011 bmw x5 50i hand brake actuator. It works perfectly. The only complaint is oem rubber piece that goes on top of the motor does not fit but I made it to work.

It does not last long
The vehicle for the application is a 2009 BMW X5 E70 3.5d. The good: The motor was assembled into the clean and lubricate/rebuilt OEM E-Brake Box with brand new OEM Cables (X2). Worked like a charm when tested out of the car. Worked instantly when reinstalled in car. The bad: After a month of use, the E-Brake locked up and we could not even release the manual Emergency brake. We had to ask AAA to use a flat bed since the brake stuck hard and the vehicle would not move. The tech had to remove the entire cables with the box as it would not release. The motor side has driven the shaft to far forward that it could not be disassembled with out removing the motor and the transmission. My notes to potential buyer and the seller (Developer of the product): I would not recommend to buy the unit- Development needs to to run stress test to determine MTTF and improve the reliability or it could be a dangerous situation for someone.

Well, it works.
No issues with fitment and plugged right in. I've had it in for about a month now without issues.

So far so good!
Motor works like a charm, SO FAR! The rest end is not exactly the same as OE, but rubber Mount still works. Auto H and Park are all working perfectly. Letโs see how long it lasts.
