Slap Ya Mama seasoning has become my go-to for smoked wings. I use the 0–400 method, and this spice blend takes them to the next level—just the right mix of heat and flavor without being overpowering. It sticks well to the wings, gives a nice kick, and the smoky flavor really shines through. I’ve tried it on other meats too, but wings are where it really stands out. If you like bold seasoning that makes your food pop, this is a must-have.

Very quick service

The spice is 5 stars all the way. My only gripe is that unlike all the other listings, this showed the Original, Hot, and White Pepper mix. The description also mentioned having an mild, white pepper, and hot blend. It's actually 3 of the mild or "original" as described in the heading. The original is the mild, which is the yellow and red can, of which you get three. It's amazing stuff, just a bummer if you expected a variety pack as pictured. As far as the three cans of original go, it's really amazing stuff. Won't even return it as 3 cans will definitely be used up. Found it at the French Market in New Orleans, brought some home and think it's the best spice ever. It says Cajun spice but doesn't taste like any other Cajun spice; and that's a good thing. Tastes great in eggs, makes popcorn phenomenal, great on steaks or chicken on the grill or in stir fry. It's not overly spicy, but has a nice flavor and a little kick. It's a great mix that I couldn't perfect even when trying to mix the ingredients by hand (McCormick Black pepper, Towes Red Pepper, Garlic salt, and mortons). Despite trying a few different ratios, could never get close to the great taste of the slap ya mamma. Probably wasted more than these cost in failed attempts. Definitely good stuff, just don't expect the variety pack. Would be nice if they sold a pack as pictured as I really wanted to try the white pepper and hot mix.

love the HOT version! we add slap ya mamma to almost all our food to kick up the flavor! the hot is SPICY hot, so be careful till you are familiar!

This is a good spice, it smells and tastes like a high quality Cajun spike pot... but there is frankly too much salt in it. Way too much! If you're like me and you take a supermarket (Waitrose) pot of Cajun seasoning and completely smother your food, avoid this product as the salt volume will make it inedible. However, if you enjoy a light dusting (very light?), this product is about right for you.
