Big Brothers Are the Best (Fiction Picture Books)

Edit: I received a new copy of the book after contacting the seller on amazon only for it to also be out of order. I then contacted the publishing company and author directly. They are aware that there are many misprints out there. The publishing company sent me a third copy of the book directly, free of charge, that was in the right order. Great book. My son loves it. The pages are out of order. Otherwise it would be a nice book.

I gave this book to my18 month old grandson the day before his sister was born. He related to the pictures of the mother, father, and son as if it was his mom and dad and himself. It was a great way to introduce him that a baby brother or sister would be coming. He had us read it to him at least 15 times over the 2 days before his sister came home. He often requests his parents to read it to him. We called the boy in the book by his name and talked about things that he does with his mom and Dad. I highly reccommend this book. They do make one for a big sister as well.

Very Cute book for a new Brother to be!!!

When we first sat down and read this book with our son we quickly realized that there were pages missing and pages out of order. We returned that version and received a new version. The new version has all of the pages and they are in the correct order. This book is great and we are hoping that it will help our son understand that he has a baby sister on the way.

great book for my 4 year old

This book is totally adorable. It is full of examples of big brother doing nice things for the baby. It is just such a sweet book. The ONLY things that bug me a teensy bit are the "babies eat from bottles" 'cause it would be nice to just say "babies drink milk" and maybe show daddy feeding baby from a bottle and mommy nursing, too, just to give both sides of that whole issue, and the cupcake example of what big brothers eat. ;) Our kid is a monster with sugar so we don't give him much, and really it doesn't bug me, it just would be nice to see a better food example, but it's cute, still, and hell, who doesn't love cupcakes???? And it's kind of from the perspective of the big brother, anyway, and I'm sure our son would give cupcakes as his food example since he never gets them but does LOVE them. ;) So, anyway, sorry for rambling, but overall it is the cutest, best big brother book out there. Love the illustrations, too!!!

Great book to read when adding a child to the family

This is a beautiful book which I brought to help my son who was struggling to accept the new baby. Very relatable content for my 3 year old. Being in the uk just switched the word diaper to nappy! My copy was damage but will be getting another! Highly recommend

I read A LOT of reviews about older sibling books so that I wouldn't waste my money buying too many. In the end, this is the only one we bought and it is just perfect! It really celebrates becoming a big brother! My son especially like the part about big brothers eating cupcake!

Lovely book, which we bought for our 6 year old to break the news that he is having a sibling. The sentences are kept short which is good, but also not too babyish. Our son loves it and I would definately recommend.

Such a sweet book. It's all things we've been saying to our son, in preparation of the new baby. Got dad to read to him first and am so happy we did it that way. Hearing it just makes you super emotional, especially while pregnant. Our son loves it, and it is wonderful. He loves hearing about the baby burping. Lol
