Powerful suction
We love the high suction from this product, we had to change the dirt chamber several times because it picked up all the dog dander & shedding from our dogs. All the attachments were extremely helpful. We especially like the pet stair attachment. The ceiling fan blade brush is great!!! I don't think our ceiling fan have ever been cleaned! Its a bit heavy, when taking the product upstairs, but is very powerful as our household item! Great value for our money. Its not to big, however the extra long cord helps with cleaning one one all at once. Its perfect!

great vacuum
My ~2005 upright Eureka recently died so I needed a replacement. I would've purchased the same one again, but of course it was discontinued, and I didn't like the newer models as they seemed several steps down; so, I started a search for a replacement. I wanted something with about the same specs: ~12A motor for suction power, ~13" cleaning path, manual wind up cord (retractable is great until it stops working), non-swivel upright portion (never had a need for this), brush roller turns off when using the hose, 15-20 lb weight (big motor and quality construction to stand up to use over time), uses a bag, and costs about $200. It seems that most of the top rated vacuums on Amazon are ~$100, 10 lbs, and many have 8A motors- if you search for the specs. I don't think a vacuum will have enough suction power with an 8A motor (they compensate by a narrower cleaning path), or at 10 lbs have quality construction to last- unless maybe you just have a tiny apartment. Anyway, this vacuum has everything on my wanted list except for the bag. I've only used it a few times, so I can't comment on durability over time, but I'm impressed with the power and what it picks up. The minor negatives are that the brush is odd shaped and the red bristles fall out- although it's getting better over time. The power cord's insulation isn't as flexible as a high quality cord- this one holds its shape and the bends from the factory packaging haven't relaxed out after two months. It has a headlight but isn't very bright or useful. These are only minor negatives. I don't have pets or kids so I don't have to vacuum very often; if it lasts me 10+ years I'll be happy.

Different than the last one, but still a go!
I bought this same vacuum 4 - 5 years ago. I won't buy anything else as long as I have carpet, but you know how that goes, over time things become less reliable and more cheaply made so let's see how it goes. Still heavy to take upstairs and downstairs but that's what the three men in my house are for, lol. Since my cats are downstairs for the most part, that's where I mostly use it. Really is excellent for getting up hairs, especially the roller attachment on cat trees. I empty the case and wipe with chlorox wipes after each use. Pros: -Suction is still great. Best of any vacuum I've ever had. -Still the longest cord, I can go almost the whole length of my downstairs before having to plug into another room. Common sense tip: keep the cord out of the way, don't run vacuum over your cord, it will strip the cord. -Still a washable filter. Helps to prevents odors. Cons -None of the attachments work really well for carpeted stairs. They need a flat hard trapezoid one. I have an attachment from a previous vacuum that fits, I use that. -Attaching the top and bottom of dirt case parts was annoying, causing the alignment to the base extremely difficult. -Not present in the last one: when you detach the hose to use attachments, previously vacuumed pet hair starts coming out of the suction hole. There should be some sort of cap to put there when. I just stick one of the attachments in there but it doesn't cover the hole completely. Going to use tape going forward. While not a deal breaker, it really is a design flaw (this is why 4 stars this time around) -The small round silicone flap covering the on-off button is annoying, you have to press the cap in a particular spot for it to turn on. The flap also was one of the first things to shred on my last vacuum. Also a design flaw. -the plastic used this time around seems to be a dust magnet, this model ends up with dust and hair clinging to the outside when using the attachments. I did notice the non-base parts were lighter, cheapy-feeling, when putting together. I will recheck to see if there's any suction leaks. -more expensive than the last time I bought it, almost 50% more The last one lasted me about 4 years. Let's see if this one does.

Not what is pictured but it is the same.
At first, I thought they had sent me the wrong vacuum. But the model number on Amazon and the model number on Hoover.com matches. The pictures on Hoover's site matches what I received. So, the model in the pictures on Amazon must be a prier model. But still they should update the pictures on Amazon to prevent confusion like I had. The vacuum does what it says very well. We have dogs. Lots of them and it got the pet hair up and the brush roll had very little to no hair on it at all, so I'm pleased with that. The canister is easy to empty, just don't pack it so full that you have to dig it out with something, and it'll fall right out into the trash can. The little vacuum tool that's brush roll is powered by the suction doesn't do a whole lot as it will stop with little pressure, but it does suck up dirt and hair. The crevice tool worked best for me around furniture though. The vacuum cleaner doesn't maneuver around as well as a swivel head type does but it's not a beast to use either. Cord length is good. Maybe not the longest in the industry but acceptable. All in all, after making sure I received the right one I'm happy with it. Got it on sale so that was a plus. Dyson might be better, but this was cheaper, and it sucks. Pun intended. Cheers.

Collecting dust in my closet, poor customer service
I bought this vacuum two years ago and it broke almost right away. Because it's "just the power switch and not the roller brush" or other parts of the vacuum, I've been getting the absolute worst customer service. They want me to haul it out of state to a repair center because the warranty specifies that they don't replace switches or cords. It's hard to tell because when their customer service center finally opens at 9am on Mondays, you're directed to someone who just "mmhmm" and "okay" and "I understand" responds to your questions and frustrations, and there's always a language barrier. I work 24 hour shifts as a paramedic and can't spend an hour on the phone trying to replace my $200 vacuum that only worked twice before it stopped working and the switch caved in on itself. So, no, technically the roller brush itself didn't break, but if you can't turn it on, the brush is broken too. Even though the customer service rep told me very sarcastically, "at least it isn't a problem with the vacuum, just the power switch." I bought a warranty through Amazon and was attempting to wait until the useless Hoover warranty finally ended so I could get it replaced through Amazon, but apparently now it'll be 5 years before I can do that. Excellent length of coverage, but no quality in the warranty itself and extremely poor customer service. They will completely dismiss you if it's "just" the power switch and will then ask for video proof of the non-functional vacuum, right before you still have to drive 45 minutes out of state to a repair place. It's extremely convoluted. I've called 20+ times and every time I call, they get all sassy and say, "This is obviously your first time calling, let me create an account for you." Where are my 20+ other calls where I've sat on the phone giving the same info and expressing the same frustrations for 30-60+ minutes each? It gets to a point where you don't call. This $200 (+ extra warranty) vacuum is collecting dust in my closet. Customer service is unhelpful, the hours you can call are extremely limited, they seem to want to frustrate and confuse you in an attempt to not replace their faulty products. So now I have to come to Amazon and be a Karen to get their attention. Hoover, your vacuum broke two years ago and you think it's cute that the warranty doesn't cover the power switch. The POWER SWITCH. And it isn't just the switch. The power died while I was using the vacuum and then the switch became loose when I tried to turn it back on. Fixing the switch won't fix the vacuum. It was a good vacuum the two times that I got to use it before the power stopped during the second use. When it died and I tried to turn it back on again, the switch was "crunchy" and loose. I called the same day and here I am on March 20, 2025 with the same issue. I bought the vacuum April 4, 2023. It died around April 10, 2023. My last call to Hoover support was yesterday, March 19, 2025, with no resolution. In summary, product itself was good. Powerful suction on my carpet floors, having extra tools for pet hair was important to me because I have four cats (three at the time of purchase, one with long hair and one black cat whose fur clumps very obviously on my tan carpets) and I was happy with how it picked up with one pass. I loved the "headlights" on it. Good capacity and easy to assemble and easy to empty. However, it broke almost immediately and support has been the worst experience I've ever had with customer service and the warranty seems to have meant nothing. I have NEVER written a negative review to call out poor customer service like this, but I feel like I've been patient enough. As for value for your money, consider that while the product was good while it lasted, I only got two uses out of it, have spent hours of my life on the phone with customer service with no resolution, and had to buy a couple of cheaper vacuums so I could have something "temporarily" while waiting for my Hoover to be replaced. I'd call that a terrible value.

Hoover sucks! In a good way!!
Get this if you have pets!! The suction is great! Including the attachment for furniture. Like it picked up so much hair. We have 3 cats and my calico sheds enough hair to make another cat. Hoover is awesome! I purchased another brand thinking it would be good but broke after one use. I love this one! It is a little heavy, but in a good way. It makes it sturdy when I need to use the attachments. Definitely worth the money. And it was very easy to assemble.

My new Windtunnel is just a pretty face!
I've purchase hoover windtunnel vacuum cleaners for my home for 22 years before "pet" was added to its name. I've championed this vacuum amongst friends and family and been hugely proud of the quality and performance of the windtunnel brand vacuum. I would not consider purchasing a different brand for 3 seconds. I'm very disappointed in the design changes that have been made. I have purchased bagged versions in the past, but those seemed very limited. So, decided to welcome myself to bagless. The on/off switch is now a raised bump, approximately 1/4-1/3 inch in diameter, on the upper arm of the vacuum. You cannot visibly tell if the vacuum is on or off, so when I first plugged in my vacuum, it was on! And, although I pressed the bump, I couldn't get it off while unplugged. So was forced to leave plugged-in to turn it off. Dangerous to me. The bump is difficult to press! It requires some strength to depress the switch under the rubbery bump! People with arthritis, strength, or other hand/finger problems will find this challenging to say the least. It was hard for me and I don't have these issues. Also, now, when switching to use the hose, you have to rotate a lever to transfer the wind suction from hose to brushroll and vice-versa. Whoever came up with that doesn't have much of a house or doesn't vacuum much. Do you know how many times while vacuuming I need to switch to the hose operation? The switch (rotary dial) is located at the base of the vacuum. You have to bend over, then use your strength to rotate it to hose, and then use your strength to put it back to continue using the floor suction. Crazy! The tools are flimsy! The wands or extension tubes are 20 inches or so long. Too short to reach my ceiling fans! I'll need extensions for my extensions. If all you want to do is push a vacuum over a carpet to clean anything the brush/roll comes into contact with, you may be very happy with this vacuum. If using the hose to clean crevices or other debris on top of furniture, you maybe disappointed. The process is now very cumbersome because the suction does not automatically apply to the hose without a manual adjustment to the vacuum. I discovered these critical issues in less than 10 minutes of use!! I'm disappointed in the function and quality of this vacuum. I'd rather have an old model.

Really Nice, Don’t listen to the bad reviews.
Hoover wind tunnel 3, Max Pet has most all of the features I wanted in an upright vacuum. The most important features were: one that would fluff up the carpet, and was heavy enough it would stay in place when using the hose. A bagless that was easy to take apart and put back together. And a big enough dust bin that I didn’t have to empty it after vacuuming every room. This one has 12 amps that gives it plenty of power and the suction doesn’t diminish as the dirt tank fills up. It’s got a pedal to turn off the roller/beater bar, so it will vacuum hard floors without spitting dust around the floor. I wanted to mention that it DIDN’T suck itself to the floor like a couple of reviews says it does. There is a dial to adjust the height. The 30 ft cord is the longest cord I’ve ever had on a vacuum. It’s bagless with a large bin. 1.5 liter. Not the biggest bin Hoover makes. But the biggest one I could find with the roller/beater bar control pedal. We have 2 hairy dogs, I vacuumed 4 large rooms and still had room for more dirt. It’s fairly easy to push, for what it is. It’s a monster vacuum weighing 18lbs. Great news, it rolls easier than I expected it would. Again, it has adjustable height, so when it seemed hard to push, I raised it up one notch. There’s a 15’ hose. With an extendable wand that disappointingly isn’t quite long enough to use on the floor without bending over. But, I’m using a longer wand from another vacuum. So, It’s not a deal breaker for me. The clear plastic does show all the dirt though. Someone like me, going from a bagged version to a bagless version might not be used to seeing all the dirt and dog hair flying around. Although it was something we were all watching at first. Theres no bags to buy but the trade off is washing the dust bin. It’s got a hepa and charcoal filter, that cannot be washed, but they don’t need replaced very often according to the directions. And it’s got a washable dirt filter that’s a flat sponge like thing. So it will be easy to wash, but It wasn’t dirty at all, so I didn’t have to wash it this time. The reviews said it was too loud? It sounds normal to me. Yes, it’s noisy, but not as loud as I thought it was going to be. The reviews said it’s hard to push the release pedal. But this one is so easy I was using it barefoot. The reviews said it was hard to take apart. But this is the easiest vacuum to take apart. A couple of reviews said they received s different model, so I double checked on the box before opening. I received exactly what I ordered. I believe the reviews must have been for a different vacuum even though they were shown under this model.
