When it says ‘additions up to 10%’, does that mean you can only add 10% of this medium to 90% paint volume?

I don't know if that's what I was supposed to do. I used equal parts this and paint. 1:1. Worked brilliantly. I plan on using twice as much this with my thicker paint. 2:1. Fingers crossed.

Does this contain silicon?

Just adding water to the pouring medium can encourage cells. I add about 20% water or sometimes less depenfing on the density of the paint. I use Pebeo mostly. Opaque cadmiums, pale colours like naples yellow and metallics take more, transparents tend to take less water to achieve an equal consistency. If the consistencies ate equalled and the water content is at least 10% you should get cells on glass, canvas and mdf. IF I use Silicone, the clean up can be exhausting but don't varnish or resin without doing this. I wait a few days for the silivkne to properly surface, then liberally cover with Cornflour or Talcum Powder. Leave overnight, shake off the excess then repeat. Next day after removing the powder, check all the silicone is gone then quickly rinse the surface with cold water (don't scrub!) and leave to dry. NEVER WIPE OR BRUSH SILICONE - it will smear all over your artwork and make this step much harder to complete. Happy pouring! 😁🖼👩🎨
