Spigen Tough Armor Designed for Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Case (2019) - Black

This review is about actual functionality of the case! I started using Spigen cases with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and was pleasantly surprised with its durability, size and looks. Of course, I purchased the Spigen Tough Armor again when I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S10+ back in March. Fast forward to last Monday, Labor Day. I visited SeaWorld with my kid. I went into the Wave Breaker ride and placed my cell in my pocket inside a ziploc. It seems I did not properly secured the bag. When the ride started accelerating, I felt something fall from my pocket. I looked down and saw my small wallet and quickly grabbed it. Feeling relieved I started feeling my pocket for my cell and noticed it wasn't there. Horrified, I started to look around me and sure enough, I saw my phone on the floor in my cart moving towards the back cart. Before I was able to reach for it, the ride took a curve at high speed and I just saw my cell fly into the lake, or so I thought. I was devastated. I asked for help, but understandably it was an impossible task. I went home and decided to check my Norton account and its feature that allows to find a lost cell phone to figure out where my phone was located. Coordinates placed it very near an island on the lake. Then I used Norton's ability to take a photo to check surroundings, and the photo my cell took was of rocks! So it appeared at that moment it had landed on the island over some rocks. When I looked into the satellite photos, the island was surrounded by about a foot or so of the rocks that the cell phone was photographing. My conclusion was that the phone had miraculously landed in those rocks and not on the water! Especially since 4 hours later it was still online. With that information I went to SeaWorld the next day and they agreed to help. Sure enough, they found my cell phone on the island where Norton had located it! They returned my phone and this is where the Spigen case comes into play...my phone was essentially intact!! Save for 2 extremely small dents on the metal area on the top right corner and next to the power button, everything else was perfect! Screen and body of the phone...INTACT! I mean, my cell went flying from this cart at probably 60mph and landed on some rocks from about 15 feet or more above that island! Please see the pictures for the damage sustained by the case...it obviously took the big impact on the areas where the small dents are on my phone, causing a hole on the top right corner and the area of the power button to tear. This case took punishment it is probably not designed to take, and still managed like a champ!! The fact that I have my cell phone today in perfect working condition is in great part due to my Spigen case! I just received a brand new one today from Amazon and could not be happier! For the price, this is a NO BRAINER!! HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thank you, Spigen!!

I'm very happy with this phone case! Here are the highlights I experienced after using: 1. Nice and luxurious design The case has a minimal but no less sophisticated design. The sharp line, which fits perfectly with my phone. The color is also very trendy, not fading after a period of use. 2. Durable and safe materials It is made of high-quality plastic, which protects the phone from impact and scratches. At the same time, the case does not make it slippery when held and provides a solid feeling. 3. Excellent protection This case perfectly protects all 4 corners of the phone, giving me more peace of mind when accidentally dropped. The raised bezel is just high enough to protect the screen and camera from direct collisions when the phone is put down. 4. Easy to install and use The case is easy to remove without any difficulty. The buttons and charging port are still easily accessible without having to remove the case, which is very convenient for those who use as much as I do. 5. Fair price With the quality and design that the product delivers, the price of the case is really a big plus. This is a reasonable investment to protect my favorite phone. To sum up, I rated this case 5 stars for its durability, design and convenience. This is definitely an indispensable accessory for those who want to protect their phone in the best way!

The Thickness is very good as it made the first order for a phone need a case upgrade, the color is very accurate, the screen protection is just good as it's easy to install the phone as I liked case the stand to watch my favorite movie and shows without having to use the item to carry. The material is very built in good quality as it's should be used a liquid tibi vis as it uses to air cushion technology with the corner of the phone to avoid the damage as it was magnetic attached to the back, I like the material as is shown the picture, I recommend for any who wants a good cover of the phone case.

In the past, as soon as I would place an order to upgrade my phone I would order an Otterbox and would not even take the new phone out of the box until the case arrived. This habit has not changed except now I order a Spigen. The reason? The quality of the Spigen is on par with that of the Otterbox only for only about 1/3 of the price. This is the 2nd Spigen Tough Armor I have purchased with the 1st being for a Galaxy S9 Plus. I have also purchased one as a gift for a friend to use with a Galaxy S7 Plus although that one did not have the kickstand. There are a two small "cons" I do want to point out but they are very small in comparison to the overall quality of the phone case. One being that the kickstand feels flimsy and the other being the volume buttons. As for the kickstand, it does what it is supposed to do but it doesn't feel like it will hold up much past the year's worth of average use between now and when the next Galaxy S is released. That may be a bigger issue if you do not upgrade yearly. In relation to the volume buttons, they almost feel like a single button. This seems to be Spigen's way of distinguishing the volume buttons from the (annoying) Bixby button and it will take sometime to get used to. The biggest positive of this case is how durable it feels (aside from the kickstand) while having a very minimalistic design. It doesn't add much size to the phone and that is important for a phone the size of the Galaxy S10 Plus. It is also light weight so it doesn't feel out of place in my pocket and I find it easy to hold. Smooth to the touch but without being slippery. In addition, if you are someone who still uses wired headphones/earbuds as I am, this case does not block the 3.5mm jack, a problem I have had with Otterbox in the past. I have only used this case for about a week so my review is subject to change in the future but based on the last Spigen Tough Armor I used as well as how satisfied my friend was with the one I gave her I am comfortable recommend this case. Top quality for the price.

After many years of use now, this has held up fantastic! For the price and quality and the perfect fit this was literally such a great buy! Would absolutely recommend and have already got another as a gift and they have been very happy as well! 10/10

Ive had this case for a few years now and its unaturally durable. Even though it hardly protects the front of the phone it has protected my screen from cracks multiple times. My phone is nearly 3 years old now and doesnt have a single crack or ship in the screen or back panel despite numerous drops on concrete. Would recommend.

Your phone it's really good

Got this case because the last case I got from Spigen worked out very well (GS5, held up for 5 years). This case is more or less the same quality, so I figure it will last just as long as the last one. I like how much easier it is to hold my Galaxy S10 Plus with the case on, since that phone is kind of slippery on it's own. It barely increases the size of the phone, and leaves all access points open. Buttons have good feel to them, they don't get bumped by accident and are also easy to press. I have only two gripes, neither of which warrant a star off. One, the headphone port is a little too narrow for my current headphone jack. I will likely just trim down the plug to compensate for this. But basically, it pushed the headphone plug out. The headphones I use are Shure earbuds, and they have a larger than normal plug, so this is a common problem I run into on cases. I can't say it is only Shure plugs that have this issue, so jsut be aware if you have a fairly fat plug you might also have a problem. If you have a typical thin plug, no issue. Two, the little kickstand thing on the back is pretty useless. It barely holds the phone up, and is kind of tough to get back to home when I am done with it. Not a big deal, I jsut use my wallet as kickstand anyway, have for years since my last case did not have a kickstand.

Je suis un grand fan de cette marque pour les coques de téléphone. Déjà éprouvé avec mon précédent qui a tenu 3.5 ans sans même une rayure sur l'écran. Avec la petite trappe à l'arrière, une fois qu'on y a goûté, on a du mal à s'en passer. Vraiment très élégant et bon produit.

Ich bin - wie immer von den Spigen-Cases - begeistert. Die Oberfläche ist rau und glitzert. Im Vergleich zu einem Hochglanzcase, fallen Staub und leichte Verschutzung nicht auf. Die Haptik ist super angenehm. Die Qualität und Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nicht bewerten, aber vorherige Spigen-Cases haben bei mir immer mehr als 3 Jahre gehalten. Ob sich das Material abgreift, wird sich zeigen. Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Ich denke, das Case bietet guten Schutz bei Stürzen, weil der TPU-Rahmen ausreichend dick ist. Die Klammer ist gut positioniert, vor allem, wenn man zw. Hardcase und TPU einen Magneten für eine Handyhalterung nutzen will. Die Tasten sind leichtgängig benutzbar (besser als bei früheren Modellen). Die Anschlüsse und Mikrophon sind zugänglich. Dadurch, dass der TPU-Rahmen am oberen und unteren Rand etwas höher ist, eignet sich die Hülle gut, um das Handy mit der Displayseite auf den Tisch zu legen ohne, dass das Display die Tischplatte berührt.

Ich bin total begeistert von Spigen. Seit 2019 kaufe ich diese Hüllen für meine Handys. Super Qualität, optimaler Schutz. Gibt keine besseren. Dauert sehr lange bis die Hülle fies aussieht. Kaputt ist sie mir noch nie gegangen. Leider hört es aber dieses Jahr bei mir auf. Ich hab bisher immer um die 20 Euro gezahlt. Gibt weitaus günstigere, aber wie gesagt Spigen ist schon top. Nun kostet die Hülle für mein neues Samsung S24 Ultra aber 35 Euro. Das bin ich persönlich nicht mehr gewillt zu zahlen, für eine Handyhülle. Finds schon krass wie man die Preise von knapp 15 Euro damals über 20 Euro bis jetzt zu 35 Euro anheben kann. Also preislich bin ich nicht mehr dabei. Über die Hülle selber kann ich nichts schlechtes sagen! Empfehlenswert.

I bought the Rose Gold case for my new Samsung S10+. My phone fits perfectly and I still have access to "the edge" tab on my phone. The glass does not touch the surface when the phone is turned upside down due to the curved lip at the top and bottom. I am using the Nanami Wireless charger with no issues so I do not have to remove the case. It looks great, fits nicely in my hand, isn't too slippery. All the buttons are easy to push. there is plenty of room to use a cord charger as well - you do not have to remove the case to charge that way either. There is a small stand at the back that is handy. It is easy to use but only lets you stand up the phone horizontally (not an issue for me). Definitely great value for the money. I haven't had to test for durability yet but I feel like my phone and the corners especially are well protected from accidental drops.
