The Lakeside Collection Glass Domed Serving Plate for Confectionery and Baked Goods - Galvanized

I love this glass dome & tray because I don't have to worry about breaking it! It's so light! I did not want a heavy dome for the precise reason of feeling too cumbersome. While it's light, it doesn't feel flimsy. While I love the tray too, it is very light - I would've preferred a more sturdy, solid tray, but it's pretty and I've had no issues. It just sits on my kitchen counter anyway. I use doilies or 9-10" plates for my desserts and place in tray. I do not place food directly on tray & they recommend you don't. The size is perfect for 9" cakes or bundt pans. It's great that you can use the tray two ways as well by turning over. This is exactly what I was looking for. I just hope the tray doesn't rust on me in the future...

I love this for keeping baked goods fresh and this looks great on my counter top. I line it with foil or parchment paper so the bottom tray stays clean. The glass top is lightweight but nicely made. Handle it with care while washing though. I had no issues with fitting it into the base. For the money, this is a bargain.

So I love baked goods and was looking for a cloche to keep things fresher while looking nice on my counter top. This is perfect. It's not very big, holds my standard dessert plate but won't hold a standard dinner plate. It looks great, nice sturdy glass that's substantial enough that I think it will take being used on a weekly basis, but not so heavy that I fear using it. Washes well, and I am delighted with it. I've ordered a few cloches and this is the only one I've kept. It's great! Oh, and it really does keep pastry fresh longer at least an extra day or two which is just what I needed.

It is very pretty, just as pictured. I would recommend, A few cons though... The base does stain if any oil gets on it, so I suggest a medium-sized plate or saucer is place down first before any baked goods. I’ve also noticed that if used without the plate, the bottom slams down when you lift up the lid, so without the plate for added weight that would be a very annoying problem. Also, It seems too small for a regular-sized cake so I use it for baked cookies or mini desserts to display.

I was looking for a way to keep my samples fresher at the farmers market I sell at while also discouraging kids from eating all my samples. I am going to test it this week for my purposes but the item itself is high quality and came packaged very securely. The lid fits securely and has heft to it, which I like. I hope that the lid will not only keep my items from drying out as quickly but discourage kids from using my samples as a buffet. I feel like they are going to be more likely to ask if there's a lid. I can't always stop them if I'm helping a customer and it would be really nice if parents would watch their kids and teach them manners...but that's a different problem! Good for my purposes and I wouldn't hesitate to use it at home too!

I bought this to keep baked goods on my kitchen counter fresh, clean, visible and ready to serve. I would always bake something and then wrap it up in foil or plastic wrap for freshness. Every time someone wanted a piece it had to be unwrapped and then wrapped again. If it didn't get wrapped properly it would get stale. If it was wrapped in foil my family didn't see it and so didn't eat it. This way the cake/muffins/cookies are right on my kitchen counter and convenient for everyone to help themselves! The food stays fresh much longer and it's attractive instead of having a messy lump of something wrapped in wrinkled foil or other wrap on my counter. Pretty enough to serve on the dinner table too! Absolutely LOVE this!

This is my second review of this product. I don't see how to link it to my first. My first review was less favorable because the size of the dome was about 1/4 inch smaller than what was listed in the description, and that was important to me because I was looking for an exact size. I complained about it in my review. I did not ask for, or expect a refund. But a day after I posted my review, I received a notice of a full refund, no questions asked. So now I feel compelled to post this supplemental review. ... The product I received was of good quality, the tray is galvanized metal artsy-rustic-chic, the dome is thick glass, and it was all well packaged. But what impresses me most is the integrity of the company. Clearly they care about their customers, and they want them to be happy with their purchases. I will use the tray and the dome, I'm looking forward to putting some cheese and crackers in it, and when I look at it I'm going to think "wow, that company really stepped up and impressed me!"

I use this everyday, for cookies, pastries, etc. Friends have commented on it, looks like something their Grandma used to use. VERY NICE!! Good quality!!
