This has been the perfect sand for Sandtray therapy. It’s fun for kids and adults of all ages enjoy it. It’s a great value for the amount and size you get. My Sandtray makes it easy to store. It’s not sticky making it easy to clean off of hands and other areas. Highly recommend!

This sand is so soft, clean and nice. I love the way it feels and I feel very comfortable with it for kids. It’s expensive but if you need sand for something small, it’s great.

PRO:1. White, sparkles and is very fine powder like sand.2. 25 lbs is just right for what I needed it for.3. I'm making DRY FISH TANK DIORAMAS and zen plates with this and it's perfect.CON:1. Shipping was terrible. The cardboard box ripped, then the plastic bag ripped, then the post office had to place the whole thing in an encapsulating third plastic bag. I can only imagine how much product was lost due to poor shipping container.2. I'd pay more for better packaging, i.e. comes in a plastic box, with two layers of heavy duty plastic bags. OR the shipper could have taped-up the box on all sides and corners. I was going to order more, but now reconsidering.3. Not sure, but I think this sand contains ground glass. Now hear me out, I know glass is sand, that's where glass comes from, however, ground up glass is bad for the lungs, and this is such a fine powder 'sand', when moving in large volumes, or played with by kids, that's powder in the lungs is a bad deal. I know it says 'play sand' right in the title of the product, read reviews that folks are letting their kids play in this sand, I'd advise against that practice. Again, just my $0.02 worth.OTHER:1. I did not / do not use this in water / fish tank. Thus I don't know the cloudiness of this sand. I imagine it's so fine, that 'washing it' would cause some or a great deal of loss of the product.2. BUY if you want some great looking sand that after you clean out the dirt (there was cardboard and odd pieces of something in it, it THEN looks fantastic.3. DON'T BUY if you are worried / on the fence about the glass content, or it clogging an expensive filter and / or use in a fish tank.

I purchased 2 different orders of Sandtastik. The one from amazon and then 3 more boxes from Walmart’s website because I had a Walmart gift card I needed to used. I didn’t pay attention to the difference in the boxes- and it’s important for you to know there are 2 different types of Sandtastik sand!! The pure white which is extremely fine, and the “natural” color which is a much larger granulated sand. In truth I do like both but the photo I’m posting shows the box with the natural sand and the picture of both sands next to each other.The white sand does have more dust because it’s just so light it can float up. I find both enjoyable and fine enough to be pleasant. Home Depot and all other garden centers sell really bad (orange clay sand) that stains the clothes and hands. Not only that- their sand appears to be the by product of cement processing plants. So your getting lots of cement rocks and you can see it’s sold by Quick-set which makes cement. I wanted my baby to play in soft sand! I had to dump out all the Home Depot sand and buy the expensive stuff and we love it.I bought 6 boxes and there were NO bugs. I’m actually thinking that these customers probably just didn’t close their sandbox all the way. And you might get a bug in the sand but you know what... my boy eats dirt and rolls in the grass. So I’m not worried about that- but this sand is super clean and I’m speaking from the point of a very obsessive clean mom.

This sand is BEAUTIFUL. It's silky smooth, very fine, and white. I like that its no free silica and no free quartz. we haven't added water to it yet but my kids love it so far. The only issue is that the particle size is so fine that it is kinda dusty and when it's even slightly breezy the sand blows around a lot when its being played with. I am going to add some of Sandtastiks larger size sand to it and hopefully cut down on the amount that blows around. But its very nice sand.

Really pretty white great alternative for snow. I tried kinetic sand but there wasn’t a true white that was affordable for an entire sensory bin.I purchased this for a reusable winter sensory bin. I teach 3-4’s and I am try to create a supply of items that I can reuse and store for future use. I’m tired of rebuying sensory items that have to be thrown away. I will add a variety of items throughout December to keep things fun and inviting. I may add some glitter to make it sparkle.I will add snow ball letters for a matching activities.Snow flake plastic manipulative’s for sorting, counting and designs.I plan on using arctic animals, hibernating, and adapting animals.I will also change out tools often to encourage fine motor and problem solving.

I was looking for a cleaner/safer sand option for a children’s sand table. This is what I found in my research. Works great! One bag was enough for the Step2 sand table

I utilize this in my preschool classroom in the sensory table. It has been wonderful, and the kids absolutely love it. I only utilize half of the 25 pound box I purchased. A little goes a long way in the sensory bin. Feels amazing, goes through funnels perfectly, and there is little to no dust when playing with it. I 110 percent recommend this product and will be purchasing through them again!
