How small is small? I am 5' and about 120lbs. I sometimes have trouble with backpacks because I can't sinch them down tight enough against my body.

Katherine, that's indeed a good point. FITLY is all about fitting perfectly to your body so nothing moves. The thoracic belt adjustment, at its shortest position, fits a band size of 26 inches (bottom portion of a bra). I would advise doing a careful measurement before you purchase a FITLY Sub45. Factor in some apparel to increase the volume but I would advise against if you are 26 or smaller unless you have the ability to cut the elastic band yourself and sew it back shorter (which is not very technical to do). I'd be open to (unofficially) do it for you if need be. Don't want to leave you hangin... JMF

Without putting elastic under tension the chest strap can measure as much as 41 inches. When using you’ll want the elastic to be engaged a bit anyway, so you should be fine.
