It remembers your last settings and stays on the colour/setting you last had it on when turning it off. So if you're out at night map reading and you set it to dim green it always comes back on to that dim green setting. Awesome bit of kit.

Brilliant headlamp, useful around the house or outdoors with loads of different settings from really bright to dim and multiple colours . Headband stays put through light activities haven't tried it with anything harder like running. Seller was excellent fast dispatch and good price.

Having a lot of fun with this thing. If you set it to the red light and lower the intensity of the light, you can use it like a Borg eye patch.

Excellent torch, excellent service

I had a black diamond ages ago, then I found petzl to be leading the way. My last petzl really let me down so I went back to black diamond. This is WAY better. One small gripe is getting the last battery out. I always need some tool on hand to help me. Defo gets 5 stars though.

I hike a lot and especially now in winter - often in the dark before dawn. The Black Diamond headlight is great - bright, well-made and robust. I like it's solidity and features. I actually like the fact that it uses regular AAA batteries instead of being rechargeable - it's not always easy to find a place to recharge lights that have built-in batteries while it's easy to carry a spare pack of AAA cells on a long hike. Some people might find it slightly heavy, but I'd far rather have that than a lighter, flimsy unit.

An der Black Diamond Storm müssen sich alle anderen Lampen der Konkurrenz messen lassen. Diese Premium Lampe unterstützt alles was Outdoorsportler brauchen wenn es draußen dunkel ist. Früher war man im Winter trainingsmäßig eingeschränkt, mit dieser Lampe und der heutigen Funktionsbekleidung aber absolut nicht mehr! Diese Lampe erfüllt mit Helligkeit, Aussehen, Batterielebensdauer, Bedienbarkeit und Funktionsumfang alle Anforderungen die ich an eine Stirnlampe habe. Auf dem Markt gibt es für mich keine bessere.

Bright, battery lasts a long time, and can change the batteries anywhere. There's now a second button on top to change mode (between a dimmer broad light, spot light, and 3 different coloured lights) which is nicer to use than older Storm models which crammed power/dimming/mode into a single button
