Van Holten's Pickle-In-A-Pouch Jumbo Dill Pickles - 12ct by Van Holten's

I came back from the US recently and missed these. I slice them up and have them with some fries from Five Guys as a treat, they're perfect together! Worth every penny.

Arrived early and no problems. Exactly as described.

These pickles were absolutely foul. There was nothing of the fresh delicate dill flavour about them, nor was dill listed as an ingredient. And as for the saltiness!! There was also some weirdly 'dirty' heavy flavour detectable through the salt, but after trying one and several weeks later giving another a second chance, I had to throw the other ten in the bin. So disappointed. I loved the dill pickles my local Tesco used to sell in their Polish section but they were discontinued and Tesco's own didn't live up to the mark so I had been delightd to find these. Sadly mislead. I have now become a fan of Mrs Elsworth's dill cucumbers which I have on subscription and they fulfil all my expectations of what a dill pickle should be... Edit: I should have mentioned these were purchased at the end of July 2019 and were exactly as I described. It may be they were a 'bad' batch for some reason, but I will never risk buying them again.

Best brand of pickles I’ve ever tried.

Bought a good few boxes. The last box a bought was not jumbo pickles. Some are near half the size to previous for the same price.

I've had these before and enjoyed them but could no longer get them from that website, so I ordered these. They taste vile and I had to check the date cause I assumed they had gone off. They're in date so I can only assume they've not been stored correctly or are a bad batch.

I absolutely love pickles so I was excited to try these.... Wtf the tasted disgusting tasted so salty not worth the money. I feel so sick after eating them

Es ist einfach sehr chemisch und garnicht lecker. Es schmeckt sehr eklig. Würde ich nicht empfehlen. Musste kotzen und weiß nicht womit mit den restlichen. Meine Eltern konnten es auch nicht aufessen, sie haben es auch nicht gemocht.

I love these pickles!!! They seem to be a little smaller lately but they are delicious for a true pickle lover!!!

I travel a lot for work and one of the hotel chains I stay at rewards my elevated membership with free snacks as a perk of staying with them. I was looking for something that wasn't full of carbs and sugar and decided to give this pickle a try. I went back every single day I was staying there and got another one. They are simply incredible. I don't know how I've lived my life this long without ever having eaten one of these. Believe me. I'm not exaggerating. I had to beg TSA to let me bring one home for my family (they come in individual, pickle-juice filled pouches that might exceed the carry-on liquid allowance). My family was also blown-away by this pickle. Needless to say, I went all-in and ordered a variety of theirs. I will say the atomic-blast-level sour pickle is really "All that." I can only eat one of those once-in-a-while, because it's so intense. The kosher pickle seems to be smaller, but they're my favorite. If you love pickles like I do, go ahead and treat yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Not a fan. The dill have a weird taste. The pickles have thick tough skins . Maybe the calcium chloride or other chemicals impact the taste. Above was my review. The producer saw my review and reached out. I didn't demand a refund or ask for anything. I just explained that ypu can't please everyone and taste /experience is subjective. In this business climate where everything is going up in price, they generously provided a refund. Their way of doing business is a class act and 5 star! Give them a try. You might really like them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love these bc they taste like the ball park pickles. Unfortunately they came in and one of them was apparently one bc the box smelled like pickles. I’ve been getting pickles like these for years and I’ve never smelled a pickle smell until today. The only time you smell the pickle smell is when you open the individual bags. Plus it had the color of it on top like it was soaked in pickle juice.
