He IS Cute!
I LOVE BABY GROOT! The product is LOUD, so I had to put tape over the speaker. It doesn't exactly burn up the dance floor, but he does move and respond to other music, voices, and noises. Has a great battery saving set-up; first it plays the built in song, then it remains responsive to sound for 30 minutes. Best to turn it off when not actively enjoying his gyrating response!Mine does have a tendency to pop out of his groove - be careful not to shake it or grab him by his middle, always lift and move from the pot. With some gentle guidance we are able to put the rods in his torso back into the proper grooves! It's fun for a chuckle, he's cute as a button, and there are worst ways to spend $15!

Cute for the kids or GotG Fans
As soon as I saw the dancing baby Groot in the theaters I KNEW there was going to be a toy coming out for it. Lo and behold, here it is! This dancing baby Groot reacts to sounds in your environment and will wiggle accordingly and is fun and entertaining for the whole family! Overall we are very happy and satisfied with it.That being said, the motor in this thing is distractingly loud. Every time Groot moves you can hear the motors churn inside. If you have loud music or Groot across the room, you won't hear it. But if you're sitting next to it, even with music going, you will notice it. Additionally the movements are really basic for this figure, it only rotates its 'hips'. I was expecting a little more movement out of the figure, like in the arms or even in the upper torso area. It's because of these two things combined I gave this a 4 star rating.I bought this for the wife as a gift during they heyday of the Christmas shopping season and there were a lot of issues with the shipping (I did not factor this or the following issues into the rating I gave it, just adding this as an FYI/buyer beware). First there were a ton of delays in getting Groot, so much so that I thought he wasn't going to arrive in time for even New Years! Eventually he came, but when he did he was free floating in the shipping box. I can understand the delay in shipping and other issues during the holiday season, but the Groot I received did not have an original product box, nor even any packing material in it. I suspect I received a returned Groot, but as he worked out of the box and wasn't damaged I did not pursue replacement or compensation.Pro's:Groot is CuteGroot grooves in response to audio stimuliDecent build quality, survived shipping without packing material or original product boxHeavy base means he is hard to tip overCon's:Very limited movement, just moves "hips"Loud motor

Baby Groot
I you are a Guardians fan, you will love love LOVE this baby groot! He is adorable. He dances to sounds around him and to the Jackson 5 tune by pushing a button. Plays about a 30 second snippet. I will say that as baby groot while he is dancing (rotating in one direction), you can hear a mechanical sound... but it doesn't detract from his cuteness quotient for me. Baby groot is a rubber like material in a plastic planter. The whole item including the planter is about 8" tall. The plastic planter is about about 3 1/2" in circumference... just eyeballing it. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Adorable and works exactly as advertised.
Ordered for a year ago for my grandson's 3rd birthday. While the movie is not age appropriate, the dancing scene is. My grandson was curious as to why Groot's tree legs don't move. I explained the planter. We watched a YouTube vid of this scene and with our feet together and still, as if in a planter we swayed our hips and moved our "tree arms". How could a Grandma pass up such an adorable Baby Groot. It works perfectly a year later and is still a treasured gift. As others have stated, he is loud! I only wish I had purchased him at Walmart when they were closing out Guardians 1 merchandise. $7.99 I believe. The look on my grandson's face was worth the Amazon price.

I bought this for my girlfriend because she loved the movie guardian of the galaxy
I bought this for my girlfriend because she loved the movie guardian of the galaxy.I bought it for 19.90 which seemed pretty pricey for a singing/dancing toy.It does exactly as listed, hitting the button will play the song I want you back by the Jackson 5.Like many have noted the music is extremely loud. The only thing I have a problem with is after the musicstop playing/dancing, There is a sensor so that if you play your own music Groot will start dancing by itself. But the sensor doesn't work that well, it wouldn't dance to some of my music only the ones that are loud and I guessheavier bass? And sometimes when we talk loudly it'll start moving on it's own which became annoying because it makesa robotic sound every time it moves.Overall I thought the product was okay, it's a good novelty gift. But I definitely felt 20 bucks was too much for something thatonly entertained us for a few days. Also our first impression of the object was that it's very phallic shaped. We found it pretty funny.
