Schaum's Outline of Mathematical Handbook of Formulas and Tables, Fifth Edition

I got this book for a Calculus II class, in order to have a reference for integration formulas. While it does indeed have those formulas, it also contains a litany of other information relating to upper level mathematics. This book will be wonderful for anyone who is learning about advanced calculus, differential equations, or high level physics.

I have been using this book for more than 40 years. I had purchased the first edition of this title in 1974. Recently, I bought updated edition of the book. I am a Math Teacher. I use this book for explaining my students concepts and applications of formulas described in this book. It is very convenient because it contains a Table of derivative and integration of functions in Calculus. I have successfully taught several high school students and help them improve their grades. Also, I am a Math Instructor at Mathnasium, a Math coaching center. There I have ample of opportunities to share and apply my knowledge for well being of my student community. This book has been highly recommended for my Masters Physics classes. They contain all sorts of math equations and tables you don't have to memorize anymore. My professors let us use these on their exams too, so that saves space on your equation sheets. Undergraduates in any courses needing a lot of math should get this too, I wish I got it sooner!

I wanted convenience of always available electronic version of this handy reference. However, the paper version is easier to use. I don't know how difficult the e-version would be for someone without the context of the paper version.

This math book might be the most valuable educational resource I've ever bought. All the math I barely passed in college is right there, staring me in the face again, but it already looks easier just because of how well the content is arranged. Highly recommend for anyone who's gonna use more than just algebra in their lives. Also, I highly recommend buying used. You could end up receiving many more pleasant things...

Used this to help me study for my college physics 1 and calc 1 exams. Great material.

I got the book quicker than expected and everything was packed tightly. However, I found some bending on the book and don’t know if it has to do with the packaging or delivery process. Either way, the book is great for finding those pesky math references/formulas that you might not find quickly on the Internet.

Some tables, e.g. in Ch. 11, Special Moments of Inertia, 5th Ed. (Kindle version) have legibility issues in the online reader. In a tablet it was fine. But I dislike trying this sort of thing on a phone, as my results there are often poor. If your choices are a phone or online reader, see if a sample contains tables. Or you might consider hardcopy, though apparently those aren't surviving modern publishing quality standards very well.

If you need a basic math formulae reference book, then this one is a solid choice. The paper quality is not great but the content is. Get it when it's discounted.

The book contains hundreds of formulas, figures and table with complete explanation. But the paper quality is not good, newspaper type.
