I’ve tried quite a few daily sunscreens, and this one stands out for how refined it feels on the skin. The texture is elegant, moisturizing, and absorbs beautifully without the heavy, greasy finish that so many SPF products leave behind. It gives my skin a smooth, comfortable feel while still delivering dependable daily protection with zinc oxide and SPF 40. What I appreciate most is how seamlessly it fits into a morning routine. It layers well, feels gentle, and leaves my skin looking polished rather than coated. For dry skin, it strikes a really nice balance between hydration and sun protection, which makes it feel more like a true skincare step than just sunscreen. Overall, this is a very elevated everyday SPF — simple, effective, and well formulated. If you want a face sunscreen that feels sophisticated and consistently pleasant to wear, this is an excellent choice.

I’ve tried a lot of face sunscreens over the years, and EltaMD UV Daily really stands out. It feels incredibly lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving any white cast, which is a must for me. I love that it layers well under makeup and doesn’t pill or feel greasy throughout the day. What makes it a staple in my routine is how it keeps my skin hydrated while still offering solid sun protection—it almost feels like a moisturizer with SPF. My skin is on the sensitive side, and this one hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts. It’s one of those products I actually enjoy using every day, which says a lot. Definitely a 5-star go-to for me!

The best sunscreen I have used. I am prone to breakouts and using this daily hasn’t caused any flares. I also wear makeup daily and it sits well on top of the sunscreen doesn’t get overly oily throughout the day. Doesn’t have an overwhelming typical sunscreen smell. Feels nice on skin doesn’t feel sticky or gross like many other sunscreens. Pricey but an amazing investment for your skin!

I'll never use anything else! My dermatologist recommended mineral sunscreen and I have tried many. They either leave a white cast, feel heavy, pill up or have a strong sunscreen smell. This one is the total opposite! Feels light, moisturizes nicely and is completely unscented. No white cast at all. I wish it was less expensive, but a little goes a long way. I highly recommend this product!

As someone who is pretty invested into IDEAL sunscreen usage, I’m not too impressed with this product for its sun protection nor its “tint.” That being said, it is a very good product by American standards, which are quite a bit behind. To start off, here’s a bit of background for those not as aware (feel free to skip this paragraph if you’re only interested in the actual product review). SPF number only corresponds with UVB protection. UVB damage can be seen as your typical sunburn. Currently, American sunscreens do not have a scale that shows the level of UVA protection which is responsible for most of the sun’s “hidden” damage such as skin cancer and premature skin aging. Broad spectrum sunscreens claim to have UVA protection but the vast majority of the time this “protection” wouldn’t even meet European/Asian typical standards. This is partially due to the fact the U.S. has only approved 2 truly effective protecting agents against UVA: Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. For complete UVA protection, 18% zinc oxide will suffice. This product does not meet that, but it has a much higher percentage than most others within this price range, especially that you can access in the United States. However, there are still better options. For those looking for an affordable body lotion with complete UVA protection, I suggest Equate Baby Zinc Broad Spectrum Sunscreen Mineral Lotion. But I imagine most people looking at this product are looking for something formulated for use on the face, which I’ll get to in the next part. Now I’ll actually talk about this product. Like I said previously, by American standards this is a really good product. It’s difficult to find sunscreens in this country that are ACTUALLY broad spectrum (Do not always trust the label, read the ingredients. Most “broad spectrums” do not even provide minimal UVA protection, nonetheless enough to protect you from all of its damage). This product contains zinc oxide, which is effective in protecting against UVA, though its percentage is not enough to be ideal. Still, it is more than adequate especially compared to other U.S. products and you’d be hard-pressed to find something better here for facial use within this price range. As for skin-friendliness, I have rather sensitive skin. I am a long-time user of Retin-a, and certain products can cause light burning sensations and lightweight products are a must as I break out easily. This product did NOT irritate my skin whatsoever and did not break me out. However, cosmetically this product did not impress me at all. I am fair-skinned with warm undertones, and this product did me absolutely no favors. It gave my skin an orange cast without disguising my remaining hyperpigmentation in the slightest. It also made me appear very oily (I’m one of the lucky people that has skin neither too dry nor too oily naturally due to the extended Retin-a use) and while I am a girl very fond of dewy-makeup, this product is NOT it. It makes me look and feel extremely unattractive. Perhaps someone with a skin tone that perfectly matches this product and extremely dry skin would benefit but I can’t imagine it doing any favors for most of our skin tones. I will note though that this product makes me LOOK very oily, my skin does not feel that way with the product on, so I suppose that can be considered a good thing. It works well under makeup but it is not attractive on its own. For those interested in makeup-friendly, extreme UVA protection and cosmetically appealing makeup, I suggest exploring the many Japanese brands and sunscreen types as they are typically far more attractive than Western sunscreens (And include a nice UVA protection scale: Pa++++ is amazing). Ultimately, it’s good for a Western sunscreen but there are more effective options elsewhere and I wouldn’t suggest it for those planning to have this be the only pigmented facial product. However, it is easily accessible so it is nice when foreign shipments aren’t on time.

This is wonderful sunscreen. The SPF is 40 , the color is tinted and looks good and feels good on your face with lots of protection. I don’t go out in the sun without it and know my skin is protected.

This sunscreen did all it said it would do which was to not cause irritation, blend seamlessly intot my skin and have no white cast. It is not greasy and it spreads on with ease. I love it,

I suffer from rosacea and eczema so it was really important for me to find a sunscreen that would protect my skin while also not irritate it. A dermatologist from a youtube video I was watching recommended this product for people like myself, and it has been great so far. I bought the bottle in May 2025, and am just now purchasing my second one - but it's important to note that there's still some left. The sunscreen is super lightweight and spreads quite easily and evenly, which I think contributes to the longevity of it. As someone who applies it typically twice a day, almost every day, I'm impressed by how long its lasted considering the size of the bottle. It becomes absorbed quite quickly, has a minimal smell to it (that doesn't last and just smells like a light cream), and it gives such a nice glow to my skin. The cost of the sunscreen is pretty high, but all things considered, imo, it's worth it. I just kept the product saved in my cart for a while and purchased the next bottle once it went on sale. All in all, would definitely recommend.
