If you're looking for 'green' toilet paper, this is your best value
What many people don't understand about going 'green' with a lot of everyday consumer products is that it's not just changing a brand name - it's a process of resetting your expectations and standards. The first step may seem awkward, but once you've gotten used to it, your old choices will seem just as strange to you, if not worse. For example, the first 'green' change I made about 20 years ago was moving away from big-name toothpaste. I used to use the Colgates and Crests of the world, and at first the non-mainstream toothpaste (it may have been Tom's, in their earlier days) seemed strange to me. But after a while, using the familiar mainstream stuff was like brushing my teeth with cake icing. Grotesque. I didn't need all the chemicals they pumped their products full of, and I was happier after the change. Same with this TP. If you're jumping to this straight from some kind of thick, ultra-plush, perfumed big-corporate brand, you're going to be surprised - you'll probably think this seems fairly thin and unsubstantial. But once you use it for a while, the old stuff will start to seem like a crazy, wasteful choice. You'll wonder why you needed that much material - wasteful, and irresponsibly sourced - for the most mundane task there is. And at that point, you'll have freed yourself from having your expectations set by wasteful corporate excess. You'll realize that you don't need all of that extra waste for a simple task. This TP works great, and does everything my family needs it to do. And this packaging is a very good value - much better than buying the plastic-wrapped multi-packs in the stores (those rolls are smaller and cost more) or buying these same individual rolls that way. What you'll receive is a large cardboard box filled with stacks of individually paper-wrapped rolls. That means that every single bit of what you receive is biodegradable and recyclable. Recycle the paper wrapping, use the paper, recycle the roll, recycle the box. And just like that, you've gone through a multi-month supply of TP without any plastic, toxic waste. Find a little space in your storage room for the box, and "going to the store to get more TP" will mean going to your basement. Convenient, responsible, and a good product.

Good Bathroom Tissue and Good for the Environment
I'd always wanted to try Seventh Generation Bathroom Tissue. I saw that it was on sale from Amazon Fresh and decided to give it a try. This is 100% recycled, 2-ply bathroom tissue. It's made without chemicals containing chlorine and is fragrance free, Forest Alliance Certified, Leaping Bunny Certified, and Forest Stewardship Council certified. I got this at a terrific price, though typically Seventh Generation is pricier. So, I'm likely feeling a bit generous since I did get a good deal here. How does the bathroom tissue hold up? I'd consider it a mid-range bathroom tissue. It's obviously better for the environment, but in terms of performance I find it a bit lacking in terms of softness. It's a bit better in absorbency, but I still find it more mid-range and definitely not one of the most absorbent products on the market. I was honestly surprised how quickly I went through a roll, though I will note that typically the tissue sheets did stay together and the actual integrity of the sheets was pretty solid. I did not notice any type of fragrance and I didn't have any adverse reactions to the tissue despite having sensitive skin myself. So, that's a plus. Overall, I'd put Seventh Generation Bathroom Tissue at a slightly above average rating. It's a good bathroom tissue that is better for the environment than most other bathroom tissue options. I think the balance of being a good tissue that's good for environment makes it worthy of consideration, but for those who really prefer softer bathroom tissue or who need higher absorbency this is likely not the best option. I will likely purchase it again, though I'll also likely hold off for when it's on sale. This won't make my regular rotation of products, however, I would purchase again.

Not too dusty, not too thick, not too thin
I love soft toilet paper, like Charmin and Cottonelle, but in a household with 3 girls and only 1 man, we would go through a roll in a day. Also, the other super-soft brands are so dusty, not to mention too thick--resulting in double and triple flushes to make sure a plunge wasn't needed. The trouble with other thinner brands (Quilted Northern), was that they were two-ply (always coming apart--for some reason the two-ply that separates bothers me--especially when only one ply starts rolling and the other stays on) and to flimsy. So, we tried this. Ecofriendly too. We joke that we use "recycled toilet paper" and our friends give us a funny look :) But, using recycled paper toilet paper makes us feel good, and the sheets are not too thick but sturdy. If you have tummy troubles and need something extra cushy for your tushy, this may not be for you, but for the normal user, this works. We've used it for years and haven't switched. Another great and amazing feature: 60 in a case. SIXTY! Since there's plenty of paper on the roll, I don't have to change it every week, And, I always have a case or two in the basement to turn to. We use subscribe and save for these, and I don't mind when I forget and get a shipment sooner than necessary because I love not having to buy tp at the store. I started ordering this when my children were younger and hauling them and a cart full of groceries and a case of toilet paper to the car was a chore. The more I can get delivered to my door, the better. Cases of tp right to my house = perfect. So, yes, it's thin, but it's sturdy. A roll lasts us several days for sure, and I don't make my kids measure squares--just pull it out, rip it off, and use what you need. It's not going to clog! It's not expensive! And I won't have to change the roll by the end of the day or go to the store for another case. (oh, and no fuzzy pieces to worry about sticking in unwanted places or making dust all over the place--very minimal dust). One last comment: it starts easy (no peeling and tearing and part rolling off), and it ends clean--no bits left stuck to the roll, so you can use the leftover rolls for kids' crafts without bits or glue left on.

The best recycled toilet paper I've tried
I've been using this Toilet paper for around 8 years now and I have to say it is literally the best toilet paper made from recycled materials. Any other one I have tried is hard and harsh and doesn't hold up well. This one is just like new paper and is still reasonably soft. Because of its strength and performance; we only use around 90 rolls a year for a house of 5 people. Really great overall! Will keep buying this for the foreseeable future. Definitely worth it and doesn't make me feel bad if Toilet paper is used since I am not bulldozing trees for it.

Good Tissue but Little of It
The Seventh Generation Toilet Paper is of good quality, but there isn't enough of it, especially for the price point. It's very loosely applied to the roll to the point of sliding off as it's pulled/unrolled. That makes it look like a normal full size roll but it's all fluffed up by loose wrapping. You can see in my pictures it's advancement to the right over time. I've never experienced this with a roll of TP before. The roll doesn't last long because there isn't much there. I was easily able to pinch a brand new roll to less than half it's thickness. It soft enough and is eco- friendy with fewer processing chemicals, according to comparative research, but I can't afford the cost per volumn.

For sensitive skin
I have become allergic to so many things including toilet paper. So far, I have no reaction to this brand and this specific toilet paper. I like it too.

Strong, soft toilet paper
This toilet paper does the job very well. It is strong, soft, not lint-y, and each roll lasts a long time. My favorite recycled brand is actually Marcal, which feels like silk sheets, but ultimately went with Seventh Generation because it has a higher post consumer waste minimum (50% min for Seventh Gen and 30% min for Marcal). Some reviews say that this TP is too thin and rough. Sure, it's not as cushy as Charmin, nor does it glide like silk across your butt, but I have never experienced discomfort. It feels cushy enough, does not rip or disintegrate, and gives a clean wipe. It's definitely not like the gas station toilet paper that comes in a big heavy jumbo roll that is too flimsy to even support you pulling off more than a tiny fistful at a time. In terms of waste, I appreciate that these Seventh Generation rolls are strong and soft enough that I don't have to go back for more or even use an excessive amount in the first place. I also like that rolls are 500 sheets because I can't stand the idea of so many cardboard tube cores. The rolls were packaged minimally in one box (no plastic bubbles, no styro popcorn, no cushioning paper), with each roll wrapped individually with paper (which I prefer over plastic packaging). I guess TP preference is a personal thing, but if you're not looking for much, you will be surprised at the punch this TP roll can pack in terms of environmental friendliness, as well as personal comfort.

Strong, soft, lasts 3x longer than other brands
This product is very expensive compared to others, but after using it for almost five months I have to admit that it is worth the higher price for these reasons: 1. It feels soft. I recall when we first started using it that it felt different from other brands, but I can't even remember what the difference was. 2. It is strong. Other brands I have used fall apart as you are using them, which makes you use even more. This one has never fallen apart; no bad surprises, even when using just two squares. 3. It lasts a lot longer than others. Once you get used to how strong it is, you will find yourself using less. On top of that, each roll has nearly twice the number of sheets as other so-called "double rolls". When you put those two together, I figure these rolls last 2-4 times longer than other brands. We have a big family, and my best estimate is that these are lasting about 3x longer per roll than any other brand. If I divide the price by three, then the cost is about the same as other brands. 4. It is 100% recycled, which makes your conscience feel good. 5. It does not cause any problems in the sewer pipes. Our house is old and has small-ish pipes. We were having troubles with the pipes becoming clogged every couple of months. I wondered if using these would help, and so far we have not had any problems. So overall, yes it is expensive, but I recommend these and will keep using them in our home.

Plant-based and sturdy, doesn't come apart or overstay its welcome
I appreciate that this toilet paper is completely plant-based. It also doesn't leave tiny bits of paper behind like many of the popular brands I've used in the past.

nice septic toilet paper - plush and low lint
good toilet paper for your septic system claims to be low lint which can kill your system - seems to be on the more plush side and as such takes longer to break down a little pricey but having a sick septic system makes for some bad times at the cottage overall nice paper

Best environmentally friendly TP
Only TP I like to buy. Great product, soft and reasonably priced. But mostly the environmental awareness of this company. Thanks.

Strong and recycled
I am reading some reviews that say this is shredding and is not strong. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have been a Cottonelle customer as I found it fairly strong, but eventually I realized it was leaving “shreddies” behind. I tried Charmin and am happy with that but I wanted to give this a go as we are on septic and I also wanted a tissue that was recycled. I have not investigated further to see if their claims are are legit, but it IS strong and I do not go through it any faster than another brand.
