It is important to me to use "clean beauty" makeup and skincare products free-of potentially harmful ingredients. The Organic Pharmacy combines healthy skincare with science and formulates their products in small stringently controlled batches in their London laboratory. While not all of the ingredients are organic, the key active ingredients are. This one from The Organic Pharmacy uses a high-performing fusion of four exfoliating acids designed to gently exfoliate, brighten and improve skin's texture. I have added this peel to my evening skincare routine and have noticed a positive difference in my skin. My skin is quite dry (living in the high desert certainly doesn't help) so I often struggle to deliver the moisture my skin craves.. My skin can also appear dull as well. Since using this peel my complexion is noticeably brighter. I'm really thrilled with the initial results from adding this acid peel to my skincare routine. Only time will tell what the long term benefits of using this routinely will be. This acid peel is pricey, as clean skincare products tend to be, but you only need a couple of drops at a time. The dropper dispenser really helps me get just the right amount without wasting any precious product. I'm really happy with this Four Acid Peel from The Organic Pharmacy and will continue to use it as part of my evening skincare routine. I highly recommend it!

Honest review here. I love that this is organic and not a harsh acid peel. My skin isn't super sensitive but I don't want to peel too much either. It does not burn and goes on easily. Smell is fine and has a light texture. It says essential for acne prone and rough texture and that it gently exfoliates. I have to say it works well and is very gentle on my skin. It is definitely bringing the oil to the top and I have a few blemishes but they went away quickly. I love that it is organic and derived from pineapple, leon, grap and more... It says it repairs hyper-pigmentation which I need. So far it is helping brighten but I will update you on the pigmentation... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A product of the U.K., the four acids used in this 5 percent AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) peel are glycolic, lactic, citric and tartaric acid. The product is relatively mild which is why the directions state to use a full dropper of the product daily after cleansing the face, at night. A deeper peel is usually done with a longer interval between applications. So, this creates a gradual improvement in skin tone and texture rather than a literal peel. At least that is what I am experiencing with the product—no peel—but a temporary plumping so crinkles are less noticeable and my skin is less dull. If used daily, the one ounce bottle should last approximately a month. The fragrance is reminiscent of vanilla and is mild and in-offensive. To estimate shelf-life, the Best Before Date is 16 months in the future, but dates will vary.

I also have the Organic Pharmacy's retinol night serum and I alternate every other night between the two. What I really love about this company's serums is they feel like water, instantly soak in, and no tacky feeling. I have super soft skin when I wake up in the morning. So far it's too soon to tell if this changes my skin, but I love it on my dry, sensitive skin. No issues.

My favorite trick for a quick boost of skin brightening is an acid peel. I normally use pads, my two favorites being M-61 PowerGlow Peel (a combo of glycolic and salicylic acids) and Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel (AHA and BHA). Many of the peels on the market are potent enough that they instruct users to rinse after a set amount of time or, like the Dr. Dennis Gross, provide a neutralizing product. This is a much gentler formulation that can be applied and left on. Unlike stronger peels it does not cause stinging, itching or tingling on my skin. If you have extremely sensitive skin, your results may vary. The texture is very watery with a slight slip to it, but it absorbs almost completely. I do get a bit of sticky residue but it's not extreme. The fragrance is herbal. This is hardly a game changing treatment for me, but it's still a decent product for someone with sensitive skin who want's to try a milder acid peel or anyone new to the acid peel game looking to ease into things.

I have older, sensitive skin and when I used this, I literally felt like my face was on fire. My skin turned bright red and I had to wash the product off immediately. Very painful.

So the smell is ok, the feel is nice, leaves you feeling clean, the quality feels good, not tacky at all and the application process is pretty easy. If you're looking for a simple peel, this did pretty great. I don't have a single complaint about it because it all went as I expected. Hopefully with long use I'll see amazing results but so far the actual feeling it gives me, as well as the presentation, it's all good and I'm excited to use it more.
