Are the feathers from real birds or fake?

I bought this for a gift so have not seen it out of the packaging , but the description says natural feathers. If they were fake / synthetic I would expect it would have said so .

Are the lights already attached or do you have to thread them?

With the one I got, the lights were already attached. It's really pretty and cute. My granddaughter loved it
