My squirrels love the peanuts.

I’ve bought several bags in the past and enjoyed the general quality of these until this most recent bag. I have bought bigger bags that were great quality for less money but didn’t like the netting they are in for storage, they drop too much debris and dust. I like the ziplock feature of this bag, I can’t comment too much on the flavor and quality of these because I just put them out for squirrels. I did notice when I first opened the bag that they seemed to be dirtier or have more black spots than previous bags. I’ve read the ominous reviews about bugs and insects in the bag and have ignored them until today. I failed to properly zip the bag shut after the first time I opened the bag and the next time I opened my pantry there were moth looking bugs flying around and the bag had more inside that hadn’t escaped out of the small gap that had been missed when I closed it. I won’t be buying these anymore, I shouldn’t have to quarantine them.

Hey, they are peanuts - peanuts for feeding animals. What is there to say about them? I only gave this 4 stars as I recently found 25lb and 50lb bags of peanuts at my local feed store for substantially less per pound. Then again, I'm buying and storing between 2.5 and 5 times as much food.If you don't have a local option or don't want to store huge amounts of spare peanuts, than this is a good price and a nice usable size. Unfortunately I was going through a bag in less than a week, so I needed a more cost effective option.Remember, these are not roasted and are only meant to feed the animals. I did also purchase the Peanut Wreath which works very well with the nuts. Both the Jays and the squirrels love it.

The first time I purchased these, the peanuts were nice and my wild Blue Jays loved them. The next time I ordered a bag, only about half of the peanuts are being accepted by the birds. (Jays are pretty finicky.) They won't take the ones with blackish shells (it looks like they'd been damp and not left to dry out in time) or the ones with shells that were already open. So I've had to throw away about one-half of the bag. Still, though, I'm happy to have the peanuts that are good.

Price a bit high compared to in store, but overall convenient! I bought this because my mother kept saving human food to feed the squirrels and it ended up costing more. These have also sprung competition among the blue Jay's.

I was surprised to find I ordered such a big bag, but the quality of the peanuts is good. My scrub jay loves them, and I love that I don't have to buy them so often. He eats them out of our hands.

I usually get the roasted in-shell peanuts (different brand) and the aroma is VERY different with these raw ones. The squirrels still eat them.For those who asked if these would be OK for humans- YES- but you'd have to roast or boil them. Otherwise, they're like any other in-shell peanut without salt.

These nuts were very fresh and the squirrels just love them, If their little house is empty, they either knock on my front door, (yes actually knock, there are little paw prints all over it) or stand in front or the picture window on the sill looking like a starving animal on his last legs until I put out some more. I like the fact that I can get such a big bag so I don't have to keep reordering it so often and the best part is the bag is resealable,
