Been having a lot of hip and back pain due to being 8 months pregnant. Have transitioned from sitting on the couch at home to a yoga ball but didn’t have something for work. This helped SO MUCH. I can last much longer in a seated position without pain now thanks to the cushion. Great support and the fit was good (5’6” and pre-pregnancy 160 lbs). I got this for my college-aged daughter who works at a desk eight hours a day during the summer and complains of tailbone pain. She reports the cushion is really nice and she likes it. She also uses it in her car. She rates her pain relief 10 out of 10. It was a little pricy, but seems worth it.

We bought a brand-new 41 foot long, 32,000-pound, motorcoach this year. We took a couple of short (150-300 miles round-trip) trips, and two 1800–2000-mile trips between April and September. The driver's seat looks ultra-plush and comfortable, which it is for about 2-3 hours. After that, there's no real way to get comfortable, and the longer you sit, the more pain you have. We typically spend anywhere from 8 to 12 hours on the road on the longer trips. This beast was brutal on my legs, my butt, my tailbone, my back, my neck, and my shoulders. With considerable disbelief in its effectiveness, I ordered this cushion right before we left on another 2000 mile round-trip to Wyoming and back 2 weeks ago. The difference was AMAZING! After 3-4 hours of sitting on this cushion I had very little discomfort from the waist down. I typically take a 30-minute break to stand and stretch every few hours. After a few hours on the cushion, a 30-minute break is enough for this cushion to recover and regain its thickness and support. (I weigh 285 pounds.) I made it through an entire 12-hour haul with very little discomfort, and no pain at the end. For the type of seat I'm in, the back support cushion is also very nice, and just as effective. The movable back cushion helped relieve a lot of my back (lower, middle, and upper) discomfort and reduced my pain level at the end of day considerably. The back cushion definitely helps with posture, which ultimately leads to less discomfort and pain, too. I highly recommend both products. 5 stars if they were made in the USA. (Now I just need to figure out the shoulders and neck!)

My desk chair is 1) too low (it's not adjustable); and 2) padded, but when I sit on it, the padding collapses so that I my "sit-bones" hit hard wood (I'm 5'9" 145 lbs, so not super large or heavy). I have a fractured vertebra (L3) and have to be careful about how and how long I'm sitting, what I'm sitting on, proper support, etc. Sitting too low on a hard surface to work at my desk is no bueno. I tried other cushions, which either did not provide enough height or were too large to fit properly on my chair seat, shaped wrong for my tush (what's with the ones that curl up around the back of your butt???), too hard, or too soft. So I continued my hunt for the perfect cushion. After more thorough research I ordered both this standard memory foam seat cushion AND the gel version ("gel" sounded to me like it would be softer) in order to compare. The gel arrived first and I could not get comfortable on it--good height, good fit on my chair seat, but much too firm and unforgiving. I couldn't sit on it long enough to see whether it softened with body heat. I now understand that "gel" does not mean soft. But I'm truly happy it works well for so many others! When the standard memory foam cushion arrived, I opened it, put it on my chair, sat down, and it's perfect. "Just right," as Goldilocks would say. It is softer and squishier than the gel--"gentler" comes to mind--but maintains its height and good support. Sooooo comfortable. (NB: it is covered in a velvety soft velour-like fabric, while the gel version is covered in a firmer, tightly knit synthetic fabric.) It is still not good for me, or anyone, to sit for long periods of time, but this cushion makes working at my desk possible.

I purchased this based on the many reviews just prior to doing my 1,500 mile drive! Well even though it was comfortable for the first 100 miles (150km), unfortunately the foam compressed and then felt like a solid surface I was sitting on. I still ended up having seat sores and had to constantly lift my self up and reseat myself for the remainder of the ride. Thus for short durations, say 30-60 minutes of seating it is OK, otherwise did not do what I was hoping it would do.

I saw all the great reviews for this seat cushion and I was hopeful that this would help with taking long trips and I want to say that this cushion worked great! I never had problems taking long trips when I was younger but as I've aged I can feel pain during trips 2 hours or longer. Mostly tail bone pain and some sciatic pain as well. I had plans to take a road trip from Southern Virginia to New Hampshire which is about a 14 hour drive. I drove in a 2016 Ram 1500 and I went 6 hours straight without any pain whatsoever. We stopped to get gas and eat but they were short stops maybe 15 or 20 minutes but I kept going after. Total time in the truck was 17 hours in the seat on the cushion and I was fine, no pain. My height is 5'7 and I weigh 151 lbs so different weight, different size people could make a difference for some, but for me... this cushion is great. I bought the one which has a a rubber bottom so that it doesn't slide around. It did stay put once I sat on it. It also didn't compress that much when I sat on it either so I felt I was sitting extra high so I needed to adjust my mirrors a little. Overall I would say I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to going on many more long road trips with my family.

I drive for my occupation so I am on the road all day long. I end each day with zero back pain, and I think it’s because of this cushion. Short or long drives, I recommend having one of these.

Having a painful lower back and arthritis I was struggling with the pain on sitting down on my sofa. I needed something firmer and higher to sit on. This cushion is heaven sent. It's so comfortable and takes the pressure off my coccyx area leaving me feeling relaxed and supported. Personally I highly recommend this!

I ordered this cushion to help with my sciatica. I drive a lot and it always felt like I was sitting on a small rock. This cushion has helped tremendously. I no longer have that feeling and it's excellent support for your lower back. The gel gets a little firm when left overnight in the car during winter but gradually softens up as your sitting. I'd highly recommend this cushion for anyone needing sciatica relief or back discomfort.
