Mega Bloks Halo Brute Chieftan Charge

My 9 year old LOVES Halo, and loves legos and mega bloks now. We've been doing a lot of the Halo sets, and I happened to see after Xmas that they had a bunch of them 40 to 60 percent off, so I grabbed a dozen different ones.As with all the megablok Halo sets, it's done very well and looks great. It's also the first one I did that I didn't have to stick stickers onto - one thing I dislike about some of the sets.For a 9 year old, having the colored dots showing exactly where each piece fits is great. It helps for the larger sets since it makes it easy to get each section done. He starts out intimidated by the sheer number of pieces, but as he starts he just focuses on a step at a time and has learned that large things are comprised of smaller things, and that if you take big things in small sections, it's not so overwhelming. Always an important lesson for kids to learn. But this is a small kit, so not overwhelming at all.No missing pieces in our set like we've had in a couple others - but they have a great automated system online where you don't even have to talk to anyone to get the piece shipped out, so it couldn't be any easier to get any missing pieces. Everything fit fine - which is something I've had issue with Mega Bloks a few times, where the raised bumps weren't quite formed right and I had to pull out a knife and trim a bit for a piece to snap right.All in all was a steal for my sale price, and we're very happy with this kit. It looks awesome, and he really enjoys this one.

The major item is the Brute War Chieftain, available only in this kit. You will not be disappointed with the Mega Bloks' figure.From his headdress to his body armor, this is an excellent addition to your HALO collection. The gravity hammer is well done and very detailed.The Spikier is black not the standard gray.The Brute Chopper is a new model with slight modifications and colors. It is an easy assembly producing a good vehicle.The major modification is NO STICKERS! Mega Bloks is no longer using a sheet of stickers and will paint/cast/stick these items on the parts.This should be a welcome change for the majority.

Paid $10 for it and it was an excellent buy. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who does not have a Brute in their collection. The Chieftan figurine is incredibly detailed and worth the price of entry. The spiker and gravity hammer are both solid black which was not a problem for me, but I'm sure anyone who paints figurines may enjoy painting them more true to form. The physical details on both are great.The Chopper is nice and easy to build, but the fact that the front section of the vehicle does not pivot was the only minor disappointment in the build. It does; however, lean and stay tilted very nicely with the help of fins on either side of the Chopper which gives it the same effect visually.

Our nephew collects mega blocks "stuff." We have boys but they haven't reached the age of collections yet...So, if they asked for Halo Mega Blocks sets, YOU FOUND ONE OF THE MANY! This comes with a cool vehicle, action figure, and weapon. I don't know who the good guys and bad guys are in the sets but I do know who the hero was on Christmas - US for buying this item.

The brute Chieftan Charge is a fun and quick build. Based off the Halo 3 brute chopper, it is a somewhat accurate re-imagination of an iconic halo 3 vehicle. At 72 pieces it will take less than 30 minutes to build so its great for kids and also for people with busier schedules.Pros: Won't take up your entire day. Vehicle included is a nice portrayal of the chopper. Excellent Brute Chieftan figure with an accurate gravity hammer.Cons: The Chieftan somewhat hovers over the seat instead of sitting in it.tldr: You get exactly what you pay for!

I bought this to put it on top of the cake my son is having for his 10th birthday!!! I build it and it looks nice! My son wants this so badly! He's going to flip when he sees it on the cake like topper!!! He loves Halo everything!

It's a great set. Quick to build and cool to set up. I'd have given it five stars if the scale was a little more accurate. Other than that it's awesome.
