Why did you pick this product vs others?: The product is cheap looking. Spend a little more.

While this item looks interesting, it seems disappointingly cheaply constructed and features a highly misleading product description. While it is advertised as "Marble and Resin" that doesnt seem representative of the actual globe itself, and even the description of "Material: Metal" seems to be written to intentionally hide the fact that the actual globe is covered in some kind of cheap, easily damage foil like material. My particular globe was shipped loose in the amazon box with a few pieces of bubble padding, but nonetheless had a number of scratches, tears and creases due to the very flimsy outer material. On top of that, its not particularly well assembled either. A number of sections on the globe are poorly aligned, with the latitude and longitude rings being misalign as often as they actually connect. While 20 dollars for an interesting but flimsy globe coated in a cheap foil material might be enough to warrant 2 stars, the incredibly misleading descriptions of the product material have bumped it down to 1. No one in their right mind could describe this globe as metal when the only components made of such materials are the stand arm and knob on top, so I can only assume that they are very deliberately misleading customers and trying to justify the price.

What a cute globe! My friend one day sent me $25 and a link to this to buy for my room and I adore it. It is a tad shorter than I thought it would be but I really like it and you can see everything clearly

You get what you pay for. This didn’t look to bad and worked for what I needed. But is is rather cheaply made.

Looks great as accent piece on the shelf! Arrived quick and without a damage. If you’re looking for a unique display than this is a must, not for educational purposes.

Do not buy this globe, it's just awful, cheap and nasty and nothing like the description. Horrible

I don't think I received the same globe others reviewed. This was very cheaply made in the first instance, and received scuffed up as well. Do not recommend.
