This book is awesome!!!!!!!
It just arrived today and I have already read through it all. But I think I'll be coming back to it again, and again, and again! It's so practical, so many great ideas!! And super fun to read!!!!! I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in getting their creative juices flowing, improving their team's cohesiveness and performance, or managing org change. I plan to use some of the rituals/ games in teaching. Pretty much anyone who manages people or has a project they need to complete should have this book on their desk.

Playful, practical guide for bringing meaning, creativity, and connection to your work
Full disclosure: I have met the authors (once) over the ritual of grabbing coffee together. But even so, I wasn't sure what to expect when I pre-ordered their book. The concept of "rituals for work" can sound vague at best and conjure up cultish connotations to the uninitiated. But I use and dream up rituals all the time in my work with leaders, teams, and companies. (You may too, even if you don't use that word.) As Ozenc and Hagan write, "Rituals have special power to bond people together and to make sense of their world." I think they've done a magnificent job of finding and explaining 50 top-notch ways to bring more meaning, clarity, creativity, and connection to your work. I love how they've categorized the rituals (Creativity & Innovation, Performance & Flow, Conflict & Resilience, Community, Change & Transition) and the fact that they've included activities that range from solo practices to team exercises to rituals that can be used for an entire organization. The accessible writing and playful illustrations make this an easy book to pull off the shelf and jump right into. I expect to do so quite a bit in the coming years. Think of it as a cookbook for your culture — something with great recipes to adopt and adapt.

Great book with good ideas and fun drawings
The cover of the book itself hits that this a fun book to read. I really liked how the book is organized, and how different types of contents (interviews, lists, examples etc,) are mixed with very cute figures so that you never get bored and go through the book very quickly. Each ritual is explained very clearly with great examples. I find it very useful how the authors explain the use cases and the way each ritual can be applied at different levels (individual, team, organization). The interviews in the book provide more context about some of the rituals by explaining the source, how it was applied etc. Although the book is intended to improve productivity at work, I think some of the rituals can definitely be applied outside work. I have even tried some of them with my kids. Overall, I think this is a great reference book to get ideas bout rituals to improve productivity in different fun ways.

Extremely useful book
This book is my reference guide. Whenever I've had a conflict at the workspace, I'm taking some time to read a couple of scenarios and find the possible solutions that the author is suggesting. I could find the exact scenarios that I have had. Very well documented, and the reference list is so strong! A lot of useful and practical information. I believe everybody is having the similar pain points and this book really provides a bunch of applicable practices. Easy to digest the content and easy to turn them into actionable items. Additionally, drawings make things to remember easily afterward. I strongly suggest this book read and apply to your daily life. I wish every senior person could find time to share their experiences in such a useful and productive way. I really want to thank the author! Excellent job!

The best kind of non-fiction; LOADS of inspiration and science to back it up
I am feeling so inspired and motivated after reading this book. Not only does it provide countless examples of exact ways you can implement really cool rituals, it also has plenty of summarized research to explain WHY rituals aid in building community and personal satisfaction with an experience. After reading this book I know that rituals are important. They aren't some woo-woo superstition; they're science-backed experiences that enhance life. I plan to use many of the examples listed and reading this book got my creativity flowing to think of even more rituals to add to my work life. My clients and employees are going to love this and I am so grateful to the authors/designers for creating such a beautiful, usable book that isn't about the same old stuff every business or work book is about.

Creative Rituals
Rituals for Work is about behavioural patterns and habits in a business environment and how they can be used to create a productive culture. Hagan and Ozenc contribute to the search for new directions for design and remind us that rituals can also be about creation and change. The authors suggest new habits and motivations increase success for people sharing similar goals and values. It is a wonderfully easy read that makes these rituals simple to follow. Great illustrations offer further help. You can find interviews of proficients with various backgrounds and how rituals empower them throughout their careers. In it, you'll find all kinds of useful rituals for your work environment such as how to start a creative day by drawing or having idea parties with your colleagues. They remind us that the simplest things are still the most valuable. Any situation can be a matter of design and can contribute to your creative environment. They open a door for you to create your own rituals in business and other aspects of your life.
