My husband and I had been looking for a reasonably-priced but good-looking clock for our finished walk-out basement that doubles as guest suite. We weren't interested in rec room type clocks because they wouldn't go with the contemporary décor. For the same reason, traditional wood clocks wouldn't do. A clock needed to look contemporary without looking cheap. This Marksson clock ended up being exactly what we needed. It's sleek, easy-to-read, and, unless you're right on top of it and listening, largely silent.I like that the natural wood band outside the clock is thick, about 2", giving it a depth that adds interest. The face is covered by glass; the glass is highly reflective, however, so depending on your lighting, its placement can be key. We chose the clock that has a pink second hand so that we can see it easily from across the room. The second hand sweeps across the face, and it doesn't tick like another one we once owned and that drove me crazy. With this clock, if I get right up to it, I can hear the soft grinding noise of the mechanism. A few feet away, I can't hear anything. It takes one AA battery, not included.The only thing I'd change with the clock is a less reflective glass cover -- but of course, that might mar the look. I've been looking for a truly silent wall clock for about 5 years now (have gone through 3). My husband is a total "princess and the pea" for soft sounds at night, and kept eliminating clocks from the bedroom. I, on the other hand, have NO sense of time, and would find myself setting alarms and timers on my cell phone for waking up, dropping the newspaper to get ready, blah-blah. I REALLY needed a wall clock to orient. Finally, this clock has been approved by the most critical tester of all time! In fact, picky man said he likes the look of the clock (me too!). Very classic, easy to see without glasses (so helpful for me during my early morning fog). My search is over! Yay!

Omg this clock is AMAZING. It looks like it's an expensive Scandinavian clock that you's spend hundreds $$$ on--- I'm really impressed. It came in a pretty box that gave it a completely giftable look and the clock is just so well made. We purchased the Midnight and light blue and it works perfectly with our living room color scheme. It has an easy-to-read seconds hand (which we needed) and the clock in general is easy to read.

I've had this clock for 2 months now and absolutely love it. I searched and did my homework reading the great reviews people give and this clock was the best buy for the money; looks much more expensive than it is and keeps perfect time. It comes in a nice box to make it giftable. It is actually too much packaging but since I'm a travel therapist, the sturdy and attractive box is worth keeping for packing when I move.

Silent, graceful seconds hand on a well designed and thought out wall clock. Customer service was personal and a pleasure when I inquired about very minor accuracy discrepancies. I was looking for the accuracy of a quartz clock within a second or so per month to set my mechanical watches to and these are very close and certainly well within anyone’s expectations. Accurate to the minute for at least 12 months and such a smooth sweep that your best rolex looks like a quartz. I have several now for home, office, studio etc and all are great quality for the price.

I love the elegant simplicity of the clock face. The wood accent adds a lot of character. LOVE how quiet this thing is. Pretty accurate, too. The kale second hand is not very visible because it blends in with the black dial, but that is not an issue at all.Great seller! The first unit I received was defective but they sent me a replacement as soon as I informed them. Highly recommended.

The clock came very well packaged with custom cut foam cushioning. The wooden bezel and clock face were also protected from scratches by an inner wrapper. The clock housing is well made and quite attractive. The electric mechanism looks to be fairly standard issue for clocks of this sort, but so far, about a month, it has kept perfect time.All in, I think the clock was excellent buy at a very reasonable price.

I love this clock, I have been looking for a quality clock for a while and couldn't find one that looked good and had good quality. This one finally hit the mark. I have owned it for a month now and it has kept excellent time. Besides looking beautiful and expensive, it is also noiseless.
