difficult application
Product seems to work very well, it is exactly what it says on the time. Strips of adhevise backed plastic to reinforce papers. I originally bought to make my recipes more sturdy in their binder, so that none of the pages tore but for me personally using this product was actually quite difficult! It's very hard to stick them on perfectly, and once the adhesive touches the paper you CAN'T move it without tearing the paper. They're a nice product but application is just so difficult, I did more harm to my recipes than good! Good in theory, but really difficult to manage in practice, I ended up getting a laminator and laminating pouches instead. If you have a steady eye and hand, these are great!

Hard to Find
This is the second time I have had to find a source for this hard-to-find item. After searching the entire bricks and mortar village, I finally found these reinforcers on Amazon. I should have started here - some people never learn. This is a great product. Adhesive backing comes away cleanly and easily. The strips themselves are thick, but not too thick, making them easy to place on sheets with all of the holes ripped out. The thickness also prevents one from having to place reinforcement strips fron and back. One strip works just fine. The strips are bound at one end making them easy to replace in the sturdy box.I certainly would have preferred not to have paid the price I paid for this product but for those who have to archive files for a long period of time they are worth it.

Warning Label
I didn't see anywhere in the description that this product made with Mylar can cause cancer, but the box has a Warning Label on it that states may cause cancer once you receive it. Not to happy about that!!

reinforcing strips
I thought I was ordering the strips that already had the holes punched in it. So I wasn't real pleased to find that I had to 3 hole punch them before I could attach them to chart papers that were falling out.

They do reinforce!
They do a good job at reinforcing. I just wish they were a bit narrower. 1 inch seems way wider than necessary and interferes with one of my desired uses of the product, which would involve writing on both sides of the paper after it is punched, with less of a margin than 1 inch.I also found them a bit difficult to apply. It seemed like there is something of a static electricity charge that attracts the paper to the strip as I attempt to lower the strip to the paper. That caused the paper to jump up to the strip as I was lowering it, resulting in a misaligned application, unless I held the paper down, which is hard to do while applying it. So the process is rather tedious to me.I experimented with cutting them in half with a paper trimmer, which was a good size for me, but also a tedious process, especially since they were slippery and hard to get an even cut.Once you get them on, they do a good job at reinforcing.

Works great but one thing I didn't think about is that when I used a lot of them the binder was to small but not the products fault.

Protect or Save disc-bound planner pages!
I purchased these to reinforce paper prior to punching it with a disc-bound Happy Planner punch. The result has been outstanding! Even the pages I use most are still in service after several months, and I've also 'saved' some favorite fraying and battered pages/dividers/folders by adding a strip to the front and back of the page and re-punching the holes. My Happy Planner punch that has a max capacity of 3 pages was able to zip through cardstock *cleanly* with one or 2 of these strips attached. They are a nice thickness - much more sturdy than washi or packing tape.At first I thought it would matter that these are not a full 11" long (they're closer to 10.5"), but I found it doesn't matter based on where my punches fall... And I don't have the hassle of trimming sticky strips that are too long. Cosmetically it's not an issue either. The strips adhere very well and I've never had a problem with air bubbles or hazy spots as with some laminates. I also use the strips to laminate small items, and to affix tabs to pagesA pack of 200 strips is going to last me a very long time... It's a much-appreciated product I had been searching for!
