Wow! I am incredibly impressed with this amazing set of brushes. Shipping was fast and the brushes arrived in pristine condition. I wasn’t expecting an extremely high quality but these brushes really are superior in quality especially for the price. The first thing I noticed is how beautifully balanced the brushes are. All came well secured in their ferrules and so far I’ve not had any loose hairs coming off my canvas unlike a lot of inexpensive brushes that shed hairs all over. While I’m not a professional artist, I have painted for years and have bought my fair share of top quality paint brushes from Utrecht and Dick Blicks. I find these on par with some of my more expensive ones. Generally, I’m a bit rough with my brushes but these ones are holding up well so far. They pick up pigment well and perform beautifully. While I bought this for the case and to replace a few of my older brushes, this range has every brush you will ever need to paint with especially if you’re starting out. What is unique in this set that I haven’t seen in others is this set has a wide 1¼ inch brush which I normally have to go to my local hardware store for. Good thought has been put in when designing this set as the square wash allows me to lay big washes of colour in no time. The carrying case keeps things organized, and easy to put away or good for travelling. Another thing which stands out is the customer service given. The seller gives tips on proper care of the brushes and do follow ups to ensure I’m getting really great service. I will definitely buy from them again. Great bargain for the quality.

I LOVE these brushes!! I’ve been using them for about a week now and am so glad I purchased them. I am not an artist or gifted in the arts in anyway - my idea of being artsy is completing an adult paint-by-number HA! But I really wanted to learn a little about acrylic painting. So I purchased “Learn to Paint in Acrylics with 50 Small Paintings,” a set of inexpensive brushes from Michael’s, and a cheap paint set. The struggle was real. I decided to upgrade and bought this brush set along with artist quality paints. WHAT A DIFFERENCE it made!! No more brush fibers stuck in my paint, and no more wily brush hairs ruining my mountains! I’d typically use a fine brush for line work and have to throw it away after the project. These brushes clean up so nicely that I know they’ll last for years! The picture I posted shows one of the brushes dirty because I was in the middle of a project when I snapped the photo. Also, when you purchase from the company, they send you a highly informative e-book that explains how to properly care for the brushes. I really appreciate the info because I have zero experience in this area. It’s also SO nice to be able to email the company with a question and speak with a real, live, intelligent, helpful, cheerful, well-spoken human being. I would have given 5-stars just for their customer service!! They have made a lifetime customer out of me and I can’t do anything but speak highly of both their products and service.

These are my favorite brushes thus far. I've been painting almost 9 months. I consider myself a self-taught artist 🎨 In June 2021, I suffered a stroke. Since then I've been using art as part of my rehabilitation. Using paint brushes and focusing on my painting skills really helps me to focus, regain my strength, while I build my skills as an emerging artist 🎨. I'm in love with abstracts. So, thats what I'm painting. My dad is also an artist. He's a miniaturist. He's always encouraging me in my new hobby. Back to the brushes: I've spent hundreds of dollars on brushes 🤪, hey I love painting, and couldn't wait to receive these. Unfortunately, a few of them were damaged 💔 But! Wait for it: Chole reached out to me and within a few days I had replacement brushes!! Yes!!!! Talk about quick turnaround. Yezzzz! She was amazing and really cared about making sure I was a satisfied 😌 customer. 😀 Not only am I satisfied with my purchase. I'm joyfully satisfied with the exceptional quality of my new brushes and exceptional customer service of this company. Oh, and there was a little surprise in my package, something I'll share with my Dad. ❤️ You guys rock!!

I bought these as a beginner in acrylics, painting on paper and canvas. Nice variety of sizes and shapes. I like the the long handles which provide options in how to hold for various applications. The bristles hold their shape and do the job I hired them for. They also clean well and hold the shape without having to wrap them while they dry. However, on the largest brush, pictured on the right in product photo, came apart after only 2-3 uses. The bristles separated from the metal ferule and broke into three clumps. In gluing everything back together, I couldn't get the bristles even and had to trim (five-minute epoxy). The brush is no longer useful for most purposes. I probably should have sent back for replacement, but didn't want to do without the rest of the brushes in the interim. I wouldn't complain, however, if the company chose to send a replacement for the one defective brush. If so, I would revise my rating accordingly.

Overall nice quality and excellent value. I bought this brush set when I was just starting acrylic painting, and I had no idea what to expect in a brush. I used almost entirely the synthetic bristled brushes at first and found they had a nice amount of firmness and held their shapes. There was a brush size and shape for most of the things I needed to do. I later used the natural bristle brushes; the fan brush for trees, bushes and clouds; the small flat brush for wet on dry blending and streaking; and the large flat for laying on paint and wet on wet blending. Since then I've bought more expensive individual brushes for various purposes and to fill in some of the gaps in sizes in this set. I still like these, however, and use them often. My only caution, and this is a matter of preference, is that all of the rounds come to a sharp point. I most often like to use a round with a softer point, but again, the rounds in this set have their uses. The storage folder is nice, and each long handled brush has its own place. You can't go wrong starting and continuing with this set.

Wow. These brushes are fantastic! Buying brushes online is really difficult if you don't have a lot of experience. I keep getting brushes that come highly recommended and wind up all being the same tiny brushes that I now have like 6 sets of. I finally googles what brush sets were the best and this one came up. I couldn't be happier. There is even a large flat brush that's perfect for gesso or large washes. These are brushes I can definitely see not having to replace. They're very large which is perfect for my big mixed media pieces and the even smelled so fresh and new when I opened the box. Finally I think I have found my go to brushes should I ev÷r need to purchase more. Not really sure what to do with l these sets of teeny weenie little watercolor brushes that were advertised for all mediums. The cost gas been very damaging. I love this set. Perfect.

This is an outstanding, basic, paint brush set for acrylics or oils. I have numerous watercolor brushes, have spent a small fortune. Needed brushes for an acrylics class and found these. I was not expecting them to be so nice, so high quality. The case itself is wonderful, keeps everything well-organized. Each brush is individually wrapped, and some of the smaller brushes have plastic covers over the bristles for added protection. These are long-handled brushes, made of wood, very lightweight - not the little stubby ones you would gravitate toward if you're trying not to break the bank. The class instructor (a professional painter) was VERY impressed with this set, examined it very closely, raved about the quality, and asked the class to come have a look if there was anyone who still needed to purchase brushes - she recommended this one. I'm ecstatic, and after receiving them and registering for the lifetime warranty, I realize that the D'Artisan Shoppe company really stands by their products. They know the secret...it's important to do more than get customers - it's critical to KEEP them. I'm hooked, highly recommend!

These brushes are awesome!! Medium firmness with long nice handles. The care pamphlet and warranty are both really reassuring and help a beginning artist. I did the birds in the painting with the small liner brush which was so precise. My only complaint is that the fan brush is very very small - like not fanned a bunch.

A great brush set for the money. Purchased for a friends teenage daughter who is just starting to paint with oil. The brushes are sturdy and do not loose hairs that I have noticed. Good variety as well. She is very happy to have this set.
