it is inexpensive and EASY to add foot supports to this walker
12/8/19 update: a friend of mine who is 81 and has always been very active has recently been injured. I took this walker over for her to use. when I mentioned that it could double as a chair for her if she was someplace and needed to sit down, she said no,. she said it wouldn't work, because her feet didn't touch the ground, so she couldn't use the chaur to sit on. I looked for accessories for this walker and found none to support the feet. So, using the search term 'foot hammock', I found what you can see in the second picture. There are a group of items that people can buy to sit more comfortably on a plane. these products also work for this Drive walker that has a wide hook underneath each handle grip. I purchased two models: one that didn't work satisfactorily was just a single pad to place both feet on, and it was very uncomfortable for her. But you can see in the picture that the second model i purchased has individual foot cradles, and you can't see it but there's a long strip in between them that hangs between the hooks under the walker handle-grips. the storage space where the seat lifts up fits a thick jelly-like seat pad, which we move forward so that it hangs a couple of inches past the front of the seat. this puts the pad between the edge of the seat and her legs, which prevents the seat from digging into her legs as her feet dangle comfortably down without putting any (detectable) pressure whatsoever on her back. the little stirrup foot hammocks roll up and sit on top of the jelly seat pad, ready to pull out and use whenever she needs them. the stirrups have a connecting belt between them at the bottom, but we don't like it, and leave them disconnected so she has the freedom of movement offered when the cradles dangle separately. her seat equipment is with her all the time, and this walker now CAN double as a seat because her feet have support in the space of a moment. the foot cradle hammock product that worked for her, that you can see in the picture, is: GIMSUN Airplane Footrest Travel Foot Hammock for Flight Bus Train Office Home-Plus 1×Sleep Mask, 1× Foot Rest Flight: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZJZVVZ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. you can easily adjust the straps to whatever length is needed. i was so pleased with the result that i wanted to post it with pictures, even though they aren't very clear. original review: initially, i purchased this for my mom in late 2013 when her heart went out, to use when she got home from the hospital and rehab center, but she refused to use it. it wasn't because anything was wrong with it, she simply refused to use a walker. but i always liked it and have kept it around just in case it is ever needed. then a couple of weeks ago, while practicing a cranial-neural energy-healing modality on a friend, i really needed a taller chair and thought of this walker. i tried it, and it turned out to be a perfect height while seated to position me about 18 inches higher than the head, and my arms can actually rest on the handles of the walker, making long cranial holds much easier! the big rollers make it highly maneuverable and easy to reposition while seated. i can personally attest to the fact that the seat on this walker really works and is comfortable.

Exceeds Expectations
I bought this for my 95 YO Mom who is rated by the home health care nurse as a "fall risk" who needs stability and support using both hands when walking. Mom was using a two wheeled walker sucessfully but the nurse said the roller walker would allow her much better mobility and speedier transit. The home health physical therapist for Mom recommended this walker. On a recent trip to where she lives, I assembled the walker in about 15 minutes. It is nearly ready to go out of the box. The backrest slides into it's position and snaps into place securely. The handles have the brake cables attached and are simply inserted into their respective tube. After they are adjusted for the proper height for the recipient, they are secured in place with provided hardware...no tools required. :-) The instructions are brief but sufficient. The walker is very light (weight) because it is constructed using all aluminum tubing. It is easy to lift and collapse for storage or taking with. The backrest is designed so that it can be raised and lowered. The benefit of these two features is that the walker is easily folded and inserted in the trunk of a car. If the backrest is fixed in place, as many are, it is a wrestling match to get into in a car's trunk largely because of the protruding immovable backrest. Pros: Recommended by PT Reasonable price Extremely easy to assemble - no tools required Nice build quality Easy to take with you - fits into the trunk of a midsize car. Easier for older people to lift thanks to aluminum construction Cons None encountered - however, if the brakes needed adjustment, it looked to me to be a non-trivial task and would require tools. Neither my Mom nor my 87 YO step-dad would be up to the task. Not sure where they would get help and when a service was found, the service to adjust the brakes would likely cost more than the price of the walker. In fairness to the Drive people, my step-dad's Medline walker's braking system looks to be equally daunting if it needed adjustment. Hmmm. Might be a business opportunity...lots of roller walkers in Fort Myers.

Assembly
This product came 90% assembled. Within 10 minutes from opening the box and assembling a few pieces I had it up and running. It was packaged very well, so there wasn’t any damage. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. I’m very pleased with this product.

Maybe not for everybody, but I like it
For me, this is great! And not just for the steely cobalt blue color, either. For one thing, the seat is the right height, not too low and not too high - for me. But I'm 5'7" and long in the leg. For someone shorter or differently proportioned, this might be too high. And I can't see any way to adjust the seat height. Handle height can be adjusted, but not the seat. Which brings me to another problem: inadequate assembly instructions. Most of it is already assembled, but there are a few of the top things that have to be put together (no tools required). And yet photos identify only a few parts and show only one angle. So I had to redo several parts after I put them together. Trial and error is not the best way to assemble something that's going to support my weight. Instructions need to show all the parts and label them, and to show close ups of where things go. Then there's the cryptic message in a sticker put on one side of the brake handle but not referred to in the instructions. I'm fairly adept at assembling things, but I couldn't figure this one out at all. But, um, this is the brakes. . . ? Could you be more precise with this? But once I got it all together, then it's great. It rolls easily, brakes lock securely, wheels swivel effortlessly. Seat is comfy enough that I could easily use it for emergency seating when the whole family descends upon me at once. It's sturdy and feels as if it can handle bumps and such with aplomb. It is a mite too heavy for me to insert it into the car effortlessly. I'm worn out by the time I get it in. But them I'm not especially strong (ummmm, that's probably an understatement). The handles take a bit of getting used to, as the movement to slow the device is to pull up on the brake handles, whereas the movement to lock the brakes is to push down hard. Nonetheless, it's easy to tell when I have locked the brakes in order to sit down. Overall, I'm glad I got it, and it does what it's supposed to. I do suggest, however, that they upgrade the instructions and photos.

89 year old Dad loves it!
My Father is 89 years old and has osteoarthritis in his hip and spine. He also is afraid he will lose his balance. I have seen him struggle with a cane and sometimes one of those old walkers. He couldn't walk anywhere without using the cane in one had and grabbing onto walls, cars, etc, with the other hand. I saw this rollater while I was looking for canes for him for Christmas. I read the reviews and got a kick reading the one about the lady who went to a play for the first time in years and people gardening and feeling freedom. I thought this would be great for my Dad. I compared it with other brands and models and decided on this one because of the big wheels and seat with curved backrest and holder to put things in that is not see through. I ordered it for a great price and free shipping, I love Amazon and rarely shop anywhere else, the deals are amazing! I watched my Dad open it with a bit of trepidation, I was scared he would say I wasted my money and why did I buy this for? But he and I put it together quickly and he loves it! He can now go in the yard and use it to cross parking lots and check the mail. He said it is sturdy and holds his weight, he is 6 ft and weighs, 180pds. He said it turns well and makes him feel confident that he won't fall. He has also used the seat and said it is comfortable and really comes in handy. The big wheels make it great for the front and back yard. He thinks it's a bit heavy, but for all it does, it's worth it. He keeps it in the trunk of his car when he goes places and it fits fine. The color is very nice. This even got compliments from the nurses at the doctors office, which my Dad loved of course. :) I'm very happy that I got this for my Dad and could help him at this time of his life since he has helped me so much in mine.

walker
This walker is awesome! especially if you want to get around outside in your yard. Can even put a few tools in the seat. Also, with a back hip issue being able to sit down when you get tired is a blessing!!

Excellent Aluminum Lightweight Rollator Walker. Very good purchase. Highly recommended.
The Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker was definitely a wonderful purchase. I purchased it for an elderly parent. The rollator is aluminum and lightweight which makes carrying it and using it very easy. It folds up very well. The larger wheels make maneuvering it very easy. The two rear wheels rotate 360 degrees. The wheels are 7.5" which is a large size. When the individual gets tired, they can stop, lock the wheels with the two brakes on the handles, turn around and sit down and rest as long as they would like. With the brakes on and the individual sitting on the seat pad, the rollator does not move. There are locking brakes on the handles. You push down to lock them. They unlock easily by pushing them back up. The padded seat is okay. It would have been nicer if the seat was more padded or contour padded. You can store things by lifting up the seat pad. The sea pad is hinged and does no remove. The unit comes fully installed and completely folded in a box. The quality of the rollator is very good. Drive Medical is a trusted brand of hospitals and nursing homes. This is a must for the elderly parent. Amazon sells these at a good price. I definitely recommend the Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker. The rollator weighs abut 14 pounds. It folds easily, is lightweight and easily fits in the car. You can add a Drive Medical cup-holder as a drink holder for a water bottle. Drive Medical Universal Cup Holder

Es similar a la que usó mi madre. Ahora tiene partes mejoradas.
Me gustó que tiene la advertencia muy clara de que no se puede llevar a alguien sentado en la andadera.

Well built and lighter than most
You get what you pay for. Also, it is wide enough for a grown man's feet. Some are only 20 inches wide
