Fun and interesting puzzle to work!

Probably the easiest puzzle we've ever put together. It goes together very quickly as each book depicted in unique. What we really enjoyed was looking at the titles when it was completed and realizing we had read every book in the puzzle! The colors are bright and that makes for fun. I'd recommend this puzzle for 12 and up, particularly as a starter jigsaw puzzle for those not quite ready for the really difficult puzzles as the Ravensburger puzzles are. If you're a reader, you will love this puzzle. If you're an accomplished jigsaw puzzler, you might want to try one a bit more difficult. I'd very much recommend this as a family project, as the books are classic titles you will remember and be able to tell your kids about, although I'd bet there are titles your teens have already read! Would be a fun project to lay out on a table for a weekend away. Friends and family can't resist passing by and putting a piece or two in. You'll complete it in no time!

The only reason that I wouldn't give this five stars is because it was too easy - it didn't take too long to do. Which sometimes is nice, so if that's what you're looking for, this is perfect. It also doubles as a "to-read" list! See if you can spot the title that's on the puzzle twice. (Why?) The quality is excellent, colors are great, pieces are sturdy and fit together so that you can pick the puzzle up.

White Mountain's "Best Sellers" 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle offers straightforward assembly and interesting content. It is rather large. The red line border simplifies putting the edge pieces together. Like a good book, it's hard to stop once begun. I Never heard of "Bare Fists" by Marshall Hall (2nd cover in 2nd row). Maybe it's to prove the truth of the sign in the middle (near the eyeglasses: "You can't judge a book by its cover"). Only one book appears twice, with different covers: "Black Beauty" (3rd book 3rd row, and next to last book last row). A few authors are represented by multiple titles -- George Orwell: "1984" and "Animal Farm", Charles Dickens: "Oliver Twist" and "A Tale of Two Cities", E.B. White: "Stuart Little" and "Charlotte's Web", John Steinbeck: "The Grapes of Wrath" and "Of Mice and Men"... Some covers don't show the authors names, but I believe H.G. Wells wrote "The Time Machine" as well as "War of the Worlds" and "The Invisible Man" (the only author with 3 books shown), and Arthur Conan Doyle wrote both Sherlock Holmes volumes... I'm not sure about "The Mark of Zorro" (partially shown between 2 rows in the bottom right corner): apparently that was the name of a silent movie in 1920 starring Douglas Fairbanks based upon 5 serialized magazine stories from the previous year titled "The Curse of Capistrano" by Johnston McCulley; after the success of the movie, the stories were republished using the movie name. This jigsaw puzzle is well made and I recommend it.

This is a nice puzzle, nice weight, cleanly cut.

My teenage boys who are all very trendy & current have been obsessed with completing this - I would never in a million years thought they’d get hooked on a jigsaw as I bought it for myself - I haven’t had a look in ! It’s so beautifully made with sharp images & differently shaped pieces. White Mountain jigsaws are pure quality.
