Peavey MAX 208 200-Watt Bass Amp Combo Black

It works, im happy

Easy to carry. Sounds great. Powerful enough to play with other instruments in the room.

Solid amp, sound is good, multiple features are not too complicated and cost seems fair for now.

Update: the static issue seemed to resolve itself. Don't know how, but I again enjoy using it. I did not bump back to my original five stars, because tech support was no help. Peavey responded that they could not find my purchase in their paperwork, and advised to contact the seller, who pointed me to them in the first place. ******************************************************************* I updated my review and knocked it down to two stars: After sixty days of gentle use, the amp started to emit a strong static. I can't use it anymore. Per Amazon and Peavey return policy, it is my problem now. Too bad, it was a nice amp. ******************************************************************** To my surprise, this unit can handle the B string too. Quite a feat for a small cabinet with 8" speakers. I am pleased with the fidelity and the absence of any 60 cycle hum. The controls are straightforward and work well, just as they did on my other Peaveys. The Kosmos-C switch boosts the lowest range, but can also amplify unwanted noises. I keep it off. I think 200 watts is overstated. It is about as loud as the Basic 60 I used to have. If that is all you need, you will like the MAX 208.

Love the bottom end sounds great with my Ernie Ball music man!

What came in the package is absolutely wonderful, perfect sound Great for home and small ventures

I am very pleased with my Bass Amp and I would recommend it to anyone

The Peavey Max 208 is a really nice bass combo for moderate volume gigs, very portable and user friendly with good features.

Lo ame... suena potente, y no pesa

Great sound from this amp. Punchy and clear, the Kosmos subharmonics feature works as advertised. Peavey specs this as 120 watts rms, 200 watts advertised peak. Compared to other smaller bass amps in this price range, it's advantage is more bottom end, and portability. Cabinet shape is unique for this price range, metal grille gives me confidence this unit will keep on rocking for years.

Buen ampli, tono moderno

Muy buen amplificador!
