CAMPLUX 12V Water Pump Kit, 1.6 GPM 65 PSI High Pressure Pump for Caravan RV Boat Gas Hot Water System

I had a similar pump for my camplux shower. I made my setup with brass quick disconnects and such. I went to test everything before hunting season and wouldn't you know it, the pump ran for maybe 3 seconds before seizing. I ordered this VERY last minute. I wasn't keen on going back to the plastic fittings, but what could I do? I have a Camp Lux shower head and it was less than impressive, Well, I guess it was the pump I was using because the Pressure is amazing. This thing pumps up to pressure and then shuts off. Then, when you open the shower head valve, You're absolutely blasted with VERY acceptable water pressure, better than most hotels by a large margin. The battery clamp lead is a bit too short for my liking, however, the folks at camplux saw with to give a LONG 12v adapter, which, is what I ended up using after the 1st shower. I have only 2 problems with this setup. The first, the plastic fittings, I don't trust them to last too long. Don't get me wrong, they held up in the cold weather, but there was a constant worry that they may break if one forgot to drain them or pulled on them ever so slightly. The Second, The hoses get quite stiff when the temperature is low, which, may cause the fittings to have more stress on them when the hoses are manipulated. Other than that, I recommend.

Picked this up to use with my Camplux water heater. It worked great. The connections are very easy to use and the pump is kind of quite. With the water heater it cuts off when not in use and picks right back up when water is moving. Has a 12v plug which works great with any power station.

Works well but leaks a little in the quick connect section.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have yet to buy any Camplux product that didn't meet or exceed expectations. This has really good output and durability

We used this for a hot water heater on our first tent camping trip as a family. It never missed a beat. On a good side note. Make sure that you remove the little plugs when testing it out. I thought that something was wrong with it right out of the box come to find out it was me not the pump:)

Works great in off grid application to limit water usage in regards to flow rate allowing time for tankless water heater to sufficiently heat cold water to desired temps. Very loud: pump is mounted in crawl space, but can be heard while showering at other end of cabin. Eventually it will leak which is very bad when rain catchment is only source of water. Don’t trust it to stay shutoff from back pressure. It merely cuts off and back on repeatedly. Had to wire manual shutoff switch to overcome issue. Without the manual switch it would cut until pump shorted out, popped fuse or drained solar charged battery. Wiring harness shorts out at pump; typically after you have soaped up and need to rinse off. So naked repairs may be your future if using this pump. Overall, it is good while it lasts, but when it fails I will be replacing it with a quieter more reliable pump with a similar flow rate.

I had to return the first one ordered, and the second one came missing parts also. The pump itself looks to be of good quality, but we never tried either of them because the connectors that are pictured, and which are mentioned in the description, we're not included with either of the two that were shipped to us. There are no options to order this item without such connectors, so it's definitely not my mistake. The seller did reward me with a full refund, and I was able to order another brand at the same price, which did arrive as pictured and described.

We bought this as am alternative way to shower while we build our home and feel in love with it. We put a different shower head on it but the system is very easy to use. We have been using it as our full time shower for a year now and have only gone through 1.5 25 lb bottles. It uses very little propane and the water gets very hot. It's quiet and produces more than enough water pressure.

Used in conjunction with Camplux instant hot water shower, good pressure.

Recieved the pump in August 2021, installed in remote camp in September 2021. Winterized it in middle of November 2021. Motor seized in spring of2022. Thought if I paid a more significant price the quality may be better. Also disapointed only a 90 day return and no warenty.
