CAT6 RJ45 Pass Through Modular Plugs

I am a complete novice when it comes to building ethernet cables. It takes me an embarrassingly long time to get all of the twisted pairs undone and lined up in the proper order. However, once I did that, and using a quality crimping tool, I made a cable and it worked perfectly right away. I like that this connector allows the wires to pass completely through it so you can easily verify you have them in the correct order. The instructions are quite vague, but I learned that after you pass them through, you then cut them straight and pull them back in so they are flush with the end of the connector before you make the crimp. If you don't, it is very difficult to clip the wire ends off enough so that the plug fully seats into a port. Even with that mistake on my first try, the connector worked (and is continuing to work many days later) without having to re-do anything. These may be cheap compared to name brand connectors, but I have not had any issues with failures.

Not great if you try to shove all the conductors in to the connector at the same time, but if you feed one wire at a time through, they're good connectors.

If you're running new ethernet cables, pass-through connectors make the job so much easier and faster. It's not 100% foolproof. Sometimes the wires still get crossed, but it's easy to see and correct before you crimp. No more wasted connectors. Make sure you really do a good job straightening your wires and it works like a champ.

The design of the connector makes it very hard to keep the strands aligned while inserting them. The small channel that each strand rides in is very short when compared to the connector body overall. This means it is very easy for a wire to 'switch places' because the strands can flop around too much while you're trying to load the connector. Other connectors of higher quality are simply easier to load and ensure that the right color strand stays in the right place. and to top it all off, once I got a connector loaded and crimped, the connector would not say clipped into the network jack. It seems every time I am swayed by a cheap price I always regret it. Don't be fooled - spend more to get a better quality item. (and right now I'm wondering if it is worth $4.79/gallon to drive over to a store and make this return)

Si l'on compte 5 cm de cable perdu à chaque erreur, le coût peut vite devenir astronomique. Ces prises laissent passer l'extrêmité des câbles ce qui permet de vérifier le bon positionnement AVANT de les sertir dans la prise. J'ai fabriqué tous les cables RJ45 chez moi grace à ces prises et la pince adaptée. Télé, Box;, consoles, ordi, tous sont reliés à des hub RJ45 avec des câbles qui font exactement la longueur qu'il faut.

Seen what he pro's use, the metal casing makes them extra durable. Even if you don't have the latest crimper/cutoff tool, you can still crimp and cut the wires another way. Using the old style takes WAY MORE TIME, these are a great price, great quality!
