What was Navien thinking?
Had to replace.after only 3 years. Then again 3 years after that. Well 2 years later once again it had to be replace again. What is the constant problem? It’s the little Black hat on the top. It’s a very thin layer of plastic that simply deteriorates. And starts to leak. There is actually nothing wrong with the flow sensor. Navien does not carry the little black hats so you have to buy the flow sensor for the black hat. Spoke to a local Navien repair plumber who had a spare hat and gave me one. It’s a short live temporary fix. He informed me Navien realizes the issue and has developed a replacement flow sensor. The repair plumber for his expertise I am going pay to put the replacement part number in my system later this week.
