What are these made of?

I have these tools, I think they are made of either plastic or acrylic. They work great, cleaning is super easy. I love these tools.

Do the tips wear out?

They clean up completely. I had just used these today. I’ve had them since Feb 2021. Love them! Easy to handle, and so many sizes. Recommend these to beginners and novices. Even the smallest tip (#1) has maintained its shape and strength.

Can these be used with under glazes?

This depends on the type of glaze that you use. Glazes that are formulated specifically to mix with acrylic paints are good to use. But glazes that have an alcohol or similar base, are are formulated to other type of paint could 'eat' the plastic causing the plastic to crack

What is the dot size difference between the 12/14 piece? 12 say 1mm-18mm, and 14 say .5mm to 15? Doesn’t make sense to me.

These are the fullset tools - which come with 14 double sided tools. The diameter of each tool starts at .5mm and goes up .5mm each size. .5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm.......... until 13mm and the last two sizes are 14mm and 15mm. When you use with Acrylic paint, they create dot sizes that range from 1mm to 18mm. We also sell the fullset separately - Regular tools (.5mm to 8mm diameter) and Large tools (8.5mm to 15mm)

The best dotting tools on the market

I’ve been using this brand of dotting tools since Spring of 2020. I just love the quality of them. I love them so much that I got this full set for myself that does even larger dots. I included photos of my work to show just how perfect my dots are and I feel some of that is due to the tools I use. I also paint daily as I sell my stones and also instruct Art so they hold up well. Tip: They are white and might discolor due to paint, I recommend cleaning the tools after each dot and washing them immediately after use. Happy dotting! I would highly recommend this product. They are worth every penny.

Very nice set of dotting tools

I love these dotting tools. They make very consistent dots. They clean easily, too. I bought some acrylic rods for my first attempts at dotting, but l was not pleased with the results. The tools in this set made me proud of my finished piece. I like them so much that l am gifting a set to my sister lol.
